There is an interview where he tried to "set the record straight" and acted like the asshole he is , and even lied about the events portrayed in the film to try and make himself look better .

But put yourself in his shoes, if a movie completely portrayed you as an asshole and single-handedly ruined your reputation, wouldn't you contradict what the movie says to get some respect back?
