I not arguing i have both fs9 and fsx and i fly over both :) FSX is awesome FS2004 is Awesome most likely still the 2 best games or simulation games on the market for the Computer but 2004 still sells more copies? I have never tried X plane but i really wish they could bring back combat flight simulator those were the days. Combat flight simulator 1 was the best :) FS1 is still kinda the king of all of them because it started the FS series off and since they continued and got better and better.

I have a AMD Phenom II X6 (six processing cores) with 8 gigs of ram and a HD ATI 5750 graphics card with 1 gig dedicated to it. My framerates in daytime Vegas are anywhere between 20-30. At night it drops down to 17-24. I would like to take that up but i dont want to lower my settings. Any ideas on how to over-clock a processor?

I love the trees in the road. Thats another glitch, I've had all sorts of vegetation pop up in weird places like the middle of a runway once.

i like the way you say its so much better in X and the "natural look" but at 1:38 there is a tree in the middle of the road :L But yea all try out bluesky scenery for las vegas and nevade fsx day time and fs004 for day and night. Great sceneries.

I would love to be able to play fsx. But un-fortenetly im one of those people where I have to max it out or not play it at all. fs2004 I play maxed out with rex and a bunch of extra things so the graphics are pretty similar.

it says at least 256mb for Windows and 512mb for Vista, but ram should be the least of your worries...

If you can't put all the settings (graphic wise) on ultra high in FSX, it won't be as great of an experience. So make sure you have a very good processor and very good graphics card to try to eliminate as much lag on ultra high as you possibly can

its in the way you publish it, you need to publish it in either 1080P or 720P if you use Windows Movie Maker, when you publish it there will be a publish as button and its in the drop down list. If you use Sony Vegas like me then its really confusing which ones you can and can't use. I hope I answered your question,

I still like FS2004, the only difference I see in the two, is the ground, the FSX ground has the sandy-er look, than FS2004, but in terms of building details, not so much changed.

hey i live in las vegas, north las vegas to be specific. seeing the strip in real life is really cool, and i agree 100% that the default scenery is very realistic, like the MGM, Monte Carlo, Harrahs, Luxor, the Stratosphere, and more places are very realistic. Megasceneryx Las Vegas improves the Las Vegas area, even in the homes, with N Las Vegas, Summerlin, and Henderson.

NO! Not a quad... Ugh... Seriously, the best setups are with the E8400 or the E8500. FSX doesn't particularly like Quads...

Nope. I have used a E6400 and a Q6600 and I know that the speed of each are not close, I have had better performance with Q6600. The thing with quads is that you have to pay more to get the same speed as a quad but a quad has 2 more cores to allow info through.

if you overclock q6600 it will be better than e8400, it has two more cores and also more cache

you do not need a q6600 overclocked for it to be better, e8400 is not very good anymore since all games and programs are now quad core compatible, dual cores are useless know, my e8500 is at 4.2ghz, but im going to get the q9650 within a month or two since dual cores are bottlenecking all the latest days graphics card, cessna has a dual core and 2 gpu, that is bottlneck although i dont think he plays graphical intense games

Yeah thats true the E8400 has a higher fsb than the q6600 and alot more cache and heigher clock speeds I'm running fsx on a E7200 and I'm upgrading to a core i 7, fsx should run with out any problems on a core i 7.

9500gt is bottleneck for your cpu if you are gaming, but for fsx you dont need a major graphics card, toms hardware review shows the 8800gts to be the best card for fsx with the 9800gtx behind it
