With Maltese being a semitic language which traces lots of its roots from Libyan/Tunisian Maghreb Arabic, and some other from Alexandria (Egypt) right upto Tripoli in Lebanon, it's no small wonder it is easily mistaken for Arabic. Over history, it went writen in Roman script and absorbing lots from Latin, Spanish, French,Mitalian and also English.
seeing as the fog had just rolled in surely the airport has the technology to monitor the amount of fog and then close the airport immediately. it was unfortunate timing that the planes we're ready for takeoff but the responsibility lies with the contollers to close the airport as they should've done

Interesting language.
My native language is Portuguese.
I can understand a good part of what is been speeking on this documentary.
