  • Eurosport rocks them do a really great job...

  • @jparez9805 little late with my reply im not sure if hes fully friends with vldamir and vitaly i think they have him under their promo so they wont have to fight him. they can but fighting againts their own fighter? i dont know. hes a k1 legend and hes strong as fuck. he doesnt have to prove he can last 12 rounds he could do 30 if he wanted to. i want to see him be more aggressive like in this fight. ko people in the 1st round like tyson did most of his career.

  • Good technique and power. Size definitely. Only thing he needs to work on is speed. He is a bit slow(though I've seen slower)

  • schwachkopf werner kastor als moderator..zum gück isser weg

  • he should definitely try lifting, shooting, parashooting, and mathafuckapinging.

  • Ustinov very strong !!!

  • @sasami34 Strong but sucks as a fighter. Maybe he should try power lifting. BTW, bad stoppage by the ref.

  • He K.O. all K-1 fighters !!!

He start in K-1, when he go to boxing !!! His friend is Vitaly Kilichko.

Look on Ustinov in K-1 man !! When say " sucks" :))))

  • @sasami34 He's Klitchko's friend? That supposed to make him a good fighter? Yes, he hits hard but he won't be able to successfully compete as a heavyweight boxer.

  • Klichko saw his fights and invite Ustinov in K2 promotions !!! K2 it is Klichkos promotions company.

    We will see...!!!

  • You will see !!! Ustinov K.O. all top fighters !!!

  • As a boxer and a kickboxer this guy sucks, terrible technique no speed but he does have power. When he starts fighting decent figher he'll lose easily.

  • As a kickboxer he sucks???Check out his records first!

  • Has Alexander Ustinov improved his skills in the 1.5 years since this fight? He throws amateurish punches here but you gotta like his aggression. Americans are starting to talk about him now as a curiosity.

  • I do not think he has a change at the title unless he loses about 20 pounds and becomes much much faster. Out of the rising starts I would pick Boytsov over this guy any day.

  • He's a big skilless lug. He will look quite good against lower skilled opposition because he is a huge man with decent athletic ability. His size alone is an uphill battle for most, but the top tier fighters will no doubt eliminate him.

  • this guy isnt a proper boxer. He is a big brawler. He shall bring some fun to the boxing world.

  • I've always been a huge Ustinov fan, and the WBA has already stated that he will appear in their top 15 granted he wins one of the smaller titles in his next couple fights, but he really doesnt show much here, this was a terrible stoppage.

He's huge, has heart, and is cordinated for his size. It really is too late for him to ever to a top boxer though, IMO.

  • I just barely heard of Ustinov but from what I've seen, he's going to make a fun run at boxing. He fights too agressively for his size but that's good from an entertainment stance. Good luck to him.

  • And just think about: Ray Austin, who beat convicingly only bums - drew with Whitaker, Zuri Lawrence, Larry Donald, SD over Owen Beck, Sedreck Fields (18-19 record !), TKO loss to Attila Levin - and he could fight for a HW-title... Ustinov has only 10 pro fights, but believe me: he will face stronger fighters, will beat them, and will be a top contender. ( by the way, the Klitschko brothers discovered him, when he was Vitali's sparring partner - they know something about boxing )

  • I never said that boxers (Botha is way past his prime, but still should do better) fare well in K-1 - it's the technical details, like placing their feet - and simply being in constant danger of being kicked + the tempo - everything goes in 3 rounds, no energy savining... that makes them fall short. And mind that boxers in K1 are past their prime. On the other hand the best K1 guy in boxing is Matt Skelton and he's doing well. The point is that Ustinow is technically absolutely terrible...

  • i think ustenov is the only heavyweight on the planet with the same physique and chin like vitali klitschko. of course klitschko is a better boxer but if ustinov improve his boxing he will be become very dangerous in the next years.

  • Ustinov is the man

  • Hes gonna be Heavyweight champ someday

  • I hope he will be in a few years...He is a bit bigger and stronger than Klitschko, and way faster than Valuev; and his punching power is also better than Valuev's.( I've seen him KO strong K1 fighters with a single body punch, he must have awesome power) He also has a granit chin ( in 56 pro K1 and kickboxing fights he was never KO'd, this might mean something ) Altough his pro boxing record is 9-0 ( 8KO's ), he needs some more stronger ( and well known ) opponents, to be a serious contender.

  • don't compare k1 to boxing - ray sefo tried.... and he lost to an ordinary journeyman. In this fight he showed nothing... no technique, no power, no precision, no nothing. And you say stronger opponents? Sure, everyone in top 500 is stronger then vitaly shkraba, he's fighting here. honestly it would be difficult to find anyone WEAKER then vitaly shkraba. And the last thing - ref should not have stopped the fight as ustinov was barely hitting him +has no power in his punches. Waste of time.

  • I know, that usually K1-fighters cannot be succesful boxers. On the other side, Francois Botha, who has been down about 4-5 times in his 52 pro boxing fights, was down 3 times in one round in K1, against hard-hitting samoan Mighty Mo - and there were no kicks thrown in the fight. And as a boxer, he beat and knocked down once a journeyman, Sedreck Fields, who has beaten Shannon Briggs, and made the distance with Liakhovich, Ray Austin, Krasniqi,Larry Donald and Michael Moorer. Wait and see...

  • bpjotruska, its also important to remember that a washed up Botha beat K1 superstar Jerome Le Banner and gave multiple WGP champion Remy Bonjasky a very tough fight that he nearly lost. I wont mention Botha's win against Mr.K1 Peter Aerts since it came as a result of a checked kick.

The bottomline is that Botha should not have had nearly the success he did.

  • Botha's performance in K-1 deserves all the respect, despite his negative record. He lost to Bonjasky in the last 10 seconds of the fight, and it was one of the best fights. The LeBanner fight was also very good. LeBanner thought that beeing bigger, stronger and younger means that he can box and trade with a quite good pro boxer. Again, Botha's huge heart and good chin made the difference. And I'm waiting to see, who will face Ustinov on the Klitschko-Rahman undercard :-)

  • So, after a few months: Ustinov KO'd in rd 2 Daniel Bispo, who lost by UD to unbeaten american HW prospect Kevin Johnson. He also KO'd Julius Long in the first round - Long made the distance with former olimpic gold medalist Odlanier Solis - who should be a future HW-champion according to many people. Still no skills for Ustinov? These two guys, who made the distance with some well ranked unbeaten prospects, could not stand more than 3 rounds put together against Ustinov.

  • didnt see y the ref had to stop it...he was still defending him self..

  • yes - it was clearly a bad call. But this fight is of no significance, so no one will cry over it... but this ref is terrible, 've seen him b4 doing exactly the same thing. I'm forced to say that he should go fishing with joe cortez

  • no bad cal look at 0:48 he elbowed him

  • LOL!

  • This guy needs to come back to K-1. Thanks for sharing! =D

  • that might be a good idea, as in boxing he's going nowhere.

  • On the Klitschko-Thompson undercard, Ustinov KO'd in the 2nd round Hans-Jorg Blasko ( 4-0 ), This was his first opponent, who landed some, clear, powerful punchis on him. They had only one effect: made him angry - and he jumped on Blasko and knocked him out quite brutally. Hopefully, for his next fight, they will find him a ranked opponent. In this pathetic HW-division there are a lots of beatable top-ranked fighters - for ex. I would watch Ustinov - Golota.
