Not a bad start at all! I really like the characters too and it's quite funny at times also. But you guys start with a nice cinematic feel and then all your audio goes crap. You should get someone in to work on your audio post production! Do some ADR and re-sync it 'cos it will sound so much better and you'll have a movie you might be able to get some distribution for.
