Hi. To answer you, I would say :

- try the songs you like,

- begin with simple ones (like 3 chords songs - I think about "Next exit")

- start with a simple right hand rythm and adapt it later

- play in loop, until overdose, take a rest (1 day or a few hours), do something else than playing, and come back to the song : you will find it easier !

- and the most important thing : find your tonality with the song, transpose the chords so that it's easy for you to sing ! go up, go down, try...
