Ok, so a user creates multiple accounts? Wouldn't you think Youtube would be able to set up something to identify these accounts? Or do they use multiple addresses? Hmmm. i left my computer running at home when i went to work. my channel is small, 37 subs, and most of my videos had less than 100 views. i still have the wondow open now with the pre-bot ratings and view numbers, and a new window showing the bot attack. most videos have been hit with 30 1stars, in some cases with NO rise in the viewer number, a few vids were hit with 40. the window of opportunity was about 5 or 6 hours. i have kept track of new subscribers, maybe there's a mole?

It may not be against the rules, but one star voting a video that you didn't even watch is just about as respectable as using a vote-bot.
I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and attribute that straw man to my lack of specification. To clarify, I am not criticizing people who vote, I am saying that anyone who 5 stars a tf00t video or 1 stars an anti-tf00t video without having watched the actual video, or does so based solely on loyalty to tf00t, displays an abysmal lack of individual thought.
A better non-biased statement would be that it is bad to just 1 or 5 star any video without watching it, and if it is based on a request then they are not acting individually.
However even this general statement does not cover all bases because, there is botting going on that is focused at 1 starring atheist videos. Because the botting is causing a ratings loss due to less people, 5 starring a video one would normally 3 or 4 star is the only thing (short of botting), to offset it.

A sharp spike in 1 star votes is fairly obvious to detect. A video that isn't well liked will consistently have low ratings instead of consistently high ratings with 1000 1 star ratings coming in a day.
A sharp spike like that does not necessarily mean a vote bot. As someone that has done internet traffic tracking for years, I can tell you that just the right keyword combinations can trigger traffic from many people with the same view point. And if this video ranks high when those keywords are used it can trigger a spike of viewers with that viewpoint. Those kind of spikes can happen at any time, and mean nothing.
I have a life - If I tried to refute every video from every person that thinks their flawed opinion is gospel, then I'd be on youtube all day. I don't want to end up being an angry person like - AmazingAtheist, Thunderf00t, or any of the others that make a futile attempt at converting people to their opinions. I watch a few videos a day - leave comments - and then get on w/ a real life.

The cowardly fucktards hit my channel (finally) in the last day or two. Several videos that had up to this date had 4.5 star or higher ratings have suddenly dropped to 2 or so. These dates don't show up in insight yet, but should show up tomorrow or Thursday.

Ok, so a user creates multiple accounts? Wouldn't you think Youtube would be able to set up something to identify these accounts? Or do they use multiple addresses? Hmmm. Do you suppose Youtube has software that can track who visited an account in a fashion that would show coordination of account activities? Are those who could do this the ones selling the votebots?

i left my computer running at home when i went to work. my channel is small, 37 subs, and most of my videos had less than 100 views. i still have the wondow open now with the pre-bot ratings and view numbers, and a new window showing the bot attack. most videos have been hit with 30 1stars, in some cases with NO rise in the viewer number, a few vids were hit with 40. the window of opportunity was about 5 or 6 hours. i have kept track of new subscribers, maybe there's a mole?

okay do you know how many Christian videos are rated low? and its just cuz atheists disagree with their material. i honestly dont see that many atheist videos being rated low; in fact, theyre rated 5's. you castigate creationists for having some votebot activity going on, but thats not to say that atheists dont have it going on either. i guess hypocrisy exists on both sides

if a video ratings get low enough; it gets "buried", or lost among the thousands of videos in Youtube... no one will be able to view your material.

I don't think TF is on danger of being buried, even with low ratings. Look at VFX, he disables ratings and he greats great view counts. (personally, it just comes off as bitchy and its annoying)

that's true... but when the bots attack his accout was in danger, and everyone else that was targeted by these programs. he succeed in evading the attack by urging his viewers to rate and favorite the videos preventing the burial of the videos around. the reason that PCS is still famous is the fact by disabling the ratings he makes the videos stand still and viewable to an insane christian audience and prevents bad influential comments...

A better non-biased statement would be that it is bad to just 1 or 5 star any video without watching it, and if it is based on a request then they are not acting individually.
However even this general statement does not cover all bases because, there is botting going on that is focused at 1 starring atheist videos. Because the botting is causing a ratings loss due to less people, 5 starring a video one would normally 3 or 4 star is the only thing (short of botting), to offset it.

A sharp spike in 1 star votes is fairly obvious to detect. A video that isn't well liked will consistently have low ratings instead of consistently high ratings with 1000 1 star ratings coming in a day.

A sharp spike like that does not necessarily mean a vote bot. As someone that has done internet traffic tracking for years, I can tell you that just the right keyword combinations can trigger traffic from many people with the same view point. And if this video ranks high when those keywords are used it can trigger a spike of viewers with that viewpoint. Those kind of spikes can happen at any time, and mean nothing.
