  • A few things to clear up about McNabb. When he was awarded his DCM and MM he was the most decorated soldier in the British Army at that time.

It all good and well people talking about vehicles on the Bravo 2 Zero Op but that's hindsight, in the British Army you get on with the job with whats at hand regardless of what you have or haven't got.

Last of all, all you cyber/keyboard warriors out there, ge out and join the Army, Marines etc see how tough you really are. Because 99% talk rubbish.

  • Rob McGibbon displays all the hallmarks of a pish poor interviewer. Daft questioning, didn't seem comfortable at any point, didn't lead the interview, never connected with the interviewee. Lucky for him McNab is very chatty and down to earth and comes across really well, all from his own doing.

  • love it when he sais "oww yeh the two guys in Iraq , i dunno if their families have been killed with the bomings or what you know i dont really care" it just makes me laugh how flippently he sais it then carries on into his next phrase olololololololololol

  • andy i used to listen to radio 5 one of the 2 johns who were captured by the iraqi´s claimed there is 39.000 RAF bomber command who are missing. That was then but what about today . Are you bitter in anyway about what happened still you fuckin great as a leader of men in the siuation you found yourself in

  • He's so positive and upbeat as well, aside from the fact that he's a legend, I'd probably like him as a person.

  • 100% respect, andy mcnab is my personal hero!!!

  • this mans a legend along with the rest of the sas. this man has gone through the same as every last one of them. ALL sas should take the credit but thanks to andy we here many stories we wouldnt have ever heard without his thoughts

  • This man is a real soldier.

  • hahaha he said george bush at the end lol nice to see he's not just a laughing stock in are country

  • does anyone else think those two guys he talked about gave him some inspiration for trainers and sundance in the nick stone thrillers?

  • lol, put their heads together

  • Bravo two zero happend in 1991 it isn't fiction

  • Very interesting and enjoyable interview. Of course, read B2B and IA...superb books...they're non-fiction...I've also read a few of the fiction novels and I always enjoyed them. Got side tracked a few years back and stopped reading fiction.....so now...I must catch up with Nick Stone.

An impressive man. I enjoyed immediate Action so much.

Our HM forces are all great lads...sometimes a story is worth telling.

Good on all of the lads and lasses...past and present.

  • yes, By STORY TELLER'S........

  • Michael Mann needs to make his movies. Marriage made in heaven... Or Andy could advise Mann on adapting John Ross's "Unintended Consequences" (since he's probably the inspiration for Earl Taylor-Edgarton, LOL)

  • You know when he says "If I could get away with it, I'd kill 'em. Yeah" he's not fucking joking. He'd do it, 99% of fella's wouldn't even touch the gun. Tough man who's been through some tough situations, good interview.

  • Really liked this interview. Books are fucking brilliant as well. Seems like a really nice bloke.

  • are the books fiction or nonfiction?

  • as far as i know they're all fiction apart from seven troop, immediate action, and bravo two zero.

  • he has another non fiction book out now too i think the name of it slips my mind at the minute though

  • @ashywigan777 voices from the front

  • some are fiction but seven troop and brvo two zero arent

  • LEGEND

  • LOL Put their heads together... :-)))

  • nice one andy. getting thru his books and tv stuff at the mo very interesting. seems like a funny bloke aswell.

  • lol the ending, who would you kill made me lol

  • How many time did he say "great"?

  • I think its great! yeah, its great. great, yeah.

    Its great.

  • Love his books. Especially all the detail in his earlier ones. And so glad when Kelly finally bought it. lol. You're a soldier Andy, not a Milnes and Boone writer!!

  • alright mate, any chance you can tell me what comes after last light?

  • Night...

  • Hahaha i love how happily he talks about wanting to kill the intelligence guys at the end. "actualy no... just one bullet, put their heads together"

  • Gotta be economical with the ammo ;)

'Make every shot count' as they say..

  • does that mean that there is going to be a film Firewall ?

  • i heard it was crisis four

  • i don't care wat anyone says this man is a legend! i'm not even a brit i'm irish (not that it matters) but i don't think i respect anyone more than i do andy macnab! keep the books coming i can't get enough of um!

  • @foxbottoms Not northern irish then i take it? I have a couple mates from around there and they fucking hate the lad and the SAS. geuss thats just due to all the shit that went on. I reckon he's an ok lad, decent writer. As for weather or not it's real, well im no one to comment on it, what the fuck would i know. Good stories though.

  • hard bastard!! thnx for sharing
