@Pole8222 matters what your maximum is. As long as the total amount does not excedd your maximum you have the highest chances of winning. Best part is that you dont even have to watch over the auction. The site does it all for you. If no one went over your limit and you come back the next day. Youll log into ebay and be congratulated as the winner.

Thats what i did, Set my bid a week ahead of auction ending, came back 8 days later and checked only to notice i had won the bid. Fool proof :D

Hey dipshit, listen closely... there are two different programs that keep operating. There is ebay in general and there is Paypal. Ebay does not hold your credit card info, Paypal does. Do you give Goofbay your Ebay info or your Paypal info?

@ilimanostreet It depends on how much other people put as their maximum. Ebay goes up little by little. Example: Let's say you're bidding on a laptop worth $1000. The person before you put $400 as their maximum. If you bid a maximum of $800, it will only make you pay around $405 until someone else comes along. If someone else says their maximum is $700 then you're still higher, but now they've pushed your price up to $705. Does that make sense?

This is risky coz if you are sniping an item and 'just put a grand maximum' to make sure you win it, what if someone else is sniping the same item and has the same philosophy as you and just puts 950 to make sure they win it, you'll end up paying 951!!!!!!
