  • That voice man.. freaking amazing.

  • @s3xyath3ist I KNOW, right! Back before he lost it. Compare this to Song Remains The Same, pretty much anything from that time on, it's sad, but the strong POWERHOUSE voice you hear on the first and second albums is a mere shadow of itself from around that time till now. He was never the same. A DAMNED SHAME He "whines" around now...Wish they coulda fixed him with lazer surgery (Roth, Lauper, Coverdale..etc. have all "saved" their voices with surgery to remove the scars on their vocal chords)

  • I read a book about AC/DC, and it was intresting to read that Angus and Malcolm young

saw this gig and they were not impressed.

  • Greatest rock band ever

  • This is awesome. I had to watch it twice. This is the greatest rock band of all time, at the very top of their game, to say nothing of the very cool little interview clips at the end. Thanks SO much for sharing

  • I loved this clip until I saw Germaine Greer's melon ... WTF ? Who was responsible for this Snake oil selling Feminist ass wipe appearing with the greatest rockers of the 20th century? Anyway I have calmed down now... Great clip thank you for posting it !

  • real fucking rock music played by real men with large bulges in thier trousers. Will we ever see rock gods like this again?? I dont think so

  • Led Zeppelin is totally and completely the greatest Hard Rock band of all time!

  • This really is plant's best vocal performance of this song

  • I was there! It was fantastic...and we cheered like mad and got an encore!

PS Our city is spelt SYDNEY

  • I was there! It was fantastic...and we cheered like mad and got an encore!

  • This vid has 492 likes and 1 vote from Justin Bieber!... >.< ... Hahahahahahahahahahaa...

  • Australians make bad audiences!! you find more cheer in the graveyard, and i felt bad to Mr, Plant trying all his best..

  • I'm pretty sure I've just seen their best live performance of this song, with help from this video.

  • Is Plant wearing old scool vans!! They seem a lil amped here haha. I wonder if there was any drugs there hahahaha.....One dislike? Haha One to many=Dork

  • @myowntruth44 vans? I dont think so .

  • who is the mutherfucker that dislike this piece of art????? ¬¬

  • @WichoBassRock714 probably a jackass thats jelous that he cant sport a bulge like plant...lol

  • Awesome

  • Drugs, his kid dying, training... Still enjoy hearing him. Anyone listen to band of joy? I think he's mixed down too low.

  • bonzo----friggin best---

  • Bonzo is such a modest guy.

  • f**ckin' bonzo rules !!

  • Golden.

  • @TheZeppelinlover

No, you are wrong: The sound is from LA and the footage from Australia (Immigrant song on LZ DVD)

  • american crowds are shit. if that was in the uk the place would be bouncing

  • @joefrench555 Since this concert is in Australia...

  • it's great to finally see more of this.

  • Plant was in good voice on this video. By 1973 he was having big trouble with the high notes, and always did from then on, at least live. But this was right on the money, like most early ones were.

  • @jcva1899 Just heard a rendition of "Rock and Roll" from 1975 and Plant's voice was shot. What a shame. In his prime he was a great Rock vocalist.

  • con cha de tu madre la cago VIVAN los zeppelin por siempre

  • Miss BONZO sooo much!!

  • JPJ FTW!

  • Awesome.

  • ok who's the one idiot?

  • @AJHans12 Said idiot should be tracked down, tarred, feathered, and forced to listen to LZ night and day until he/she finally comes to his/her senses.

  • @maewestmore haha so true, they should be destroyed.

  • Anyone knows if this Australian concert video is available for sale?

  • Fantastic. There is no better version of this song done anywhere else. The band is certainly at it's prime! This is why they are the biggest influence in the world of rock. Plant never been so energetic anywhere else. Bonham sure prove that all you need is a regular set of drums to rock! Wished I saw this concert.

  • deep purple

  • Bonham's only competition is Neil Peart but I like Bonham's style better. He's the perfect rock drummer.

  • probably their prime 1971-1972

  • @FrequentlyFried i would say 69-73 but led zeppelin was great no matter what. so i mean They were the best no matter what

  • @tj4y9 don't get me wrong my favourite period is 69-73 .. I love the early days and Plants voice was always best pre 1973 to me. But as long as The Beast was on drums they were untouchable..not to mention my favourite guitarist and bass player...nothing against Plant but in my opinion he is the weak link if I had to pick one. I agree they were great no matter what.

  • @tj4y9 i believe Page might of been when he was with the Heroin. but PLant had a bad throat condition cause singers didnt know how to take care of there voices back then. and he got knodes on his vocal chords. but if his voice was always like this performance woulda been great

  • I haven't found a performance of this song where Plant sings the same octave as the album until this one. Kinda wonder why he did that.

  • Wow, I've never heard JPJ talk. He sounds quite posh actually

  • Holy shit! Bonzo is Jesus!

  • wow that was the 1st time ive actually heard bonhams voice!

  • how does it feel jimi there's not a single guitarist in that crowd that is better than you,

    um... make that drummer too

  • HAHAHA JPJ's just like "no...."

  • the best voice ever RP

  • Not even the Devil could beat robert plant in the game of charisma and godliness

  • i dont know about best because it took me a whole 2min to cum in my pants from this video

  • This is available on DVD set. Footage taken in Australia I believe. Tight playing and Plants vocals are crisp with no high note fails.

  • Only gentlemen of the finest calibre who sport brusk facial hair in the form of a moustache, beard (encompassing, but not limited to, the neck), or mutton chop, only these will be invited to party with Led Zeppelin.

  • 5:08 wow thats an iconic shot right there

  • That's what rock n' roll history is all about. Incredible.

  • Wow nice! Never saw this before. Thanx for posting!

  • Bonzo is rockin on that Ludwig ! RIP Bonzo!

  • NOW THAT IS VINTAGE LIVE ZEP!!! THANK YOU TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN!!!!

  • @Diamondmind50 You're Welcome! I have to fight for my right to put this vid on YouTube, and as you see... I WON! Hahahahahahaha... Cheers buddy!

  • Robert Plant the master

  • MICHAEL JACKSON COPYED THAT MOVE FROM ROBERT 1:37

  • wow this is just like the recorded song!

  • That fucking Percy sure could sing!

  • Bonzo

    Oh my god

Show me more of this night

  • @MrZoso187 this comes from Australian ABC television camera footage from 1972 and sorry, there aint no more. Bonham sound posh compared to us Aussies.

  • I can't wait til i get to go to heaven coz God is gonna have one rocking band up there.

  • for the last 20 years ive been looking around at the bands coming out and it just makes me cry. why dont these bands now have any thunder?

  • just 1 people pressed the Dislike button by mistake

  • what is this video from? is there more footage?

  • I'm really getting sick of seeing this twirp bieber's name under all the videos and songs i love. you dont automatically have to compare it to someone so insignificant. just enjoy.

  • 1 negative... I think that's Bieber's fucking vote

  • Awesome British accent John Paul

  • the only band in history that can safely say they never sold out

  • @JordanG901278 I don't think The Who ever sold out.

  • Justin Gayber disliked this!

  • I don't think that the group should disband , they must continue with a new drummer.Well , It didn't sound the same with great ol' Bonzo on drums, but they would be together after 40 years , just like Kiss , or Metallica , or even AC/DC ! :)

  • @gigi876 NO !

  • shit fire FUCK....!!!!

  • thats what u call slappin the bass

  • wow live zeppelin where sounds like on the record? must be pre 73?

  • @fromthenorthwest :February 1972 in the Sydney sun\end of summer

  • Ahhh, his voice!!!

  • Aw yeah! Bonham slammin the green sparkle kit. The speed, the impact and presence of his playing is just unreal. R.I.P. Bonham

  • No one today has the talent & passion of this band.

  • @maryannweiss maybe noone since

  • BONHAM !!!!!!!!!!!

  • why the fuck are there all these comments about justin beiber on practically every Zeppelin video i look up? Yea, we get it; he is a hack and Jimmy Page is God. They are even in the same fucking category.

  • Hahaha amen ya'll. Bieber sucks, Bonham is the shizz.

  • Second best rock guitarist: Jimi Page (first is Jimi Hendrix)

    Best rock singer: Robert Plant

Second best rock drummer: John Bonham (first is Keith Moon)

Best rock bass player: John Paul Jones

Second best rock keyboard player: John Paul Jones (first is Ray Manzarek)

Best rock gig of all time: frankly I don´t know

Second best rock album of all time: Led Zeppelin IV (first is Dark dide of The Moon)

Best Rock song of all time: Stairway to Heaven

Best rock band EVER: Led Zeppelin

    Led Zeppelin=ROCK

  • @KLthebig kieth moon is waaay over rated! I do like his style though.

  • @KLthebig Bonham is better than Moon...in my opinion 1st is bonham 2nd is ian paice and 3rd is moon

  • @FindingDoris i reckon bonham 1 , peart 2, moon 3

  • @chookvalve οκ...at least we agree Bonham is the best :)

  • @chookvalve you got it right there. glad someone else sees them in that order.

  • @FindingDoris I ahve a Zeppelin bootleg on which kieth moon is a guest , and he intruduces Bonhma as " the greateset fu#%ing rock and roll drummer in the world , Mr. John Bonham ..good enough for me ! ( and then Plant introduces the John and Kieth as " the dynamic loonies" , which I felt was just as appropriate and altogether true lol

  • @FindingDoris thank you for saying that. paice is so underrated

  • @FindingDoris page is greatest of all time no one is even close

  • Respond to this video... and zeppelin is the greatest band of alltime again no band is or ever will be even close to their greatness and body of work NO BAND EVEN COMPARES

  • @FindingDoris agreed with you...

  • @FindingDoris Yeah, I agree with that assessment. Ian Paice was a true motherfucker on drums..Often forgotten. Moon tended to "overplay" and not anchor the BEAT with all his "showing off" with too many fills. But that was his style, nothing wrong with it.

  • It is in Led Zeppelin's official DVD, right ?

  • oh shit i never saw this on youtube!where u got this!crap!!!

  • i hate when people challenge two musicians (neil peart vs bonham, page vs blackmore, and the list never ends..). this prevents people from listening to other bands.

  • Fuuuck, wish i hade time machine and i'd go to every led zeppelin consert!

  • bonham is faster than superman

  • Comment removed

  • I love it....................................

  • this is what jesus died for

  • @wdmounger Exactly. One of the principal reasons I think Bonzo is great is because he did more with less.

  • @wdmounger : Take a look at players like Terry Bozzio or Mike Portnoy !!

Their kits are as big as a whale ass but they make a use of it !!!

  • Awesome performance of Plant there !!

  • if you want to see led zeppelins best performance type in "rock and roll led zeppelin" and then click on the first video

  • I apologize for doubting you Robert Plant but there is just no any human being can make a sound like that. Absolutely incredible.

  • Bonzo's foot is outstanding. RIP Bonzo the gonzo.

  • @wdmounger Neil Peart is great but Bonzo is one of a kind the greatest to ever live

  • They gathered there 2 see the gods of Rock!!!

  • it must have been SO LOUD.......and AWESOME.

  • Thanks for the footage man! I wouldn't say it's their best performance but I'm glad I saw it. Not a lot of Bonzo interviews.

  • the world misses you bonzo!

  • wtf...this is just priceless

  • esto es musica algo parecidom plis

  • awesome live!

  • Wow! Great video, a real gem.

  • totally awesome of course, this the candlestick concert? the interview edits of bonham were amazing.

  • NOBODY I MEAN NOBODY including freddie mercury couldnt match PLANT when he didnt have his throat problems and he could still hit those high notes

  • When was this/what concert?

  • @dwrdle 1971 i think long beach

  • @brennanloltehlol looks mid 70's

  • @neilzep nope nope nope, plant wore that exact outfit in long beach 1971, and his hair was still growing, and mid 70's robert plant could not sing this song like the studio version, just trust me, its 1971

  • @brennanloltehlol 72 australia

    youtube.com/watch?v=IuCWyVdqXyg&feature=related

  • @neilzep I WAS CLOSER! :P

  • @brennanloltehlol

That clip is from Sidney, 27.02.'72 to be precise. And though the first signs of Plant's voice slowly deteriorating date back to mid '71, where it became obvious to the attentive listener he couldn't hit those incredible high notes anymore the way he used to (though his voice was still strong), it really started worsening after the US tour in '72 when Plant underwent vocal cord surgery. After he caught an influenza in early '73 his voice never fully recovered to former glory.

  • @brennanloltehlol - dude I'm not saying u weren't @ Long beach in 1971- but (as Tokeiihto states) this gig was Sydney '72 - thats why @ 19-20 secs u see a 2SM banner above stage(local radio station that promoted gig) I was sitting in stands below cameras -17 years old & tripping off my scone on "clear light" - can't remember a thing from last half of show-hallucinations were so intense- 28000 fans had left venue half an hour B4 we even made it down the steps! Last trip I had -great finale!!

  • great fucking footage--------------------

  • John Fucking Bonham on the drums! :D Jesus Christ, that was unbelievable!! 2:49.

  • I love the "edge" this song has, seems like some of the "newer" versions might have lost that "rawness".Great performance.ZEPPELIN!!!!!

  • and Screaching Weasel is better this? BS

  • the best version of this song.. i hate when they perform this song half tone down..

  • dead ass crowd

  • Led Zeppelin is one of my favorite bands because: The Music The Drums The Bass The Guitar The Vocals The Peformance The Albums The History The Hair The Name The Logo The Clothes
  • The. best. band. ever.

  • live music all the way*

  • fuckin A

  • Bonham looks so cool :D

  • Where was this at.

  • @AutoBotSoundWave Sydney Australia, early 70's. I was there!

  • @dq50 that's what i thought. Zeppelin only played outside in Sydney of San Francisco. i believe that's 1972 judging by their clothes and sound.

  • @JimmyPage968 and you'd be right, about the year at least. Early 70's was fantastic.

  • ok, that's it, show's over.....grab the money bags, boys - hop in the limo and let's go catch a buzzzzzzZZzzzzZZZzzzzzzz

  • 2:49

  • 2:49 RIP John Henry Bonzo Bonham, the best drumer in the world of the best band ever!

  • Thats Germaine Greer sitting next to and talking to Robert Plant at the party at the end. I was at this concert. It was fantastic, I was 16.

  • @dq50 Thats pretty hilarious, considering she was an ardent and

outspoken feminist. Plant probably listened to her politely to her

feminist ramblings, then asked if he could see her knockers.

  • @dq50 That's pretty hilarious, considering she was an ardent

and outspoken feminist. Plant probably listened politely to her

feminist ramblings, then asked if he could her knockers.

  • @khuddle Yeah but she was big time back then, revolutionary with her book The Female Eunich. Everybody was into it so she would've pulled some weight back then. She buggered her image downunder when the Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin died, she made some dumbass remark about animals fighting back after all his years of tormenting them.

  • holy fuckkkkkkkkkkkk this is too massive!!

  • Yep, my fave too.

  • sorry , English is not my native language

so @heidihammond: what does 'just in bieber' mean?

  • @maasai123456789 Hahahahahaha... Justin Bieber it's a teenager Pop singer, and @heidihammond wishes God gives us back the great Bonzo and we give him the shitty young boy Justin... I Wish we could do something like that! Hahahaha...

  • @glorox Thanks.... I found some vids of that bieber-baby and....I personally think that God would beg: You can have Bonham back and everything you want but please DON"T send me that bieber.......

  • Lol :D

  • now thats staduim ROCK !

  • give us back john bonham you can have justin beiber

  • @heidihammond141 haha nicee

  • this is what jesus died for

  • @heidihammond141 haha :---)

  • @heidihammond141 I'll throw in Britney spears and SuBo as well.

  • @heidihammond141 I don't think they'll accept... but it's worth a try!

  • @heidihammond141 Hell, they can have ME if John Bonham would come back.

  • @AndrewTuckr AND ME!
