I found that using a spray bottle for delivering water in small holes like that works best. It sprays off anything that is stuck to the walls or stuck in small cracks inside of the hole.
@snowman108890 though if the hole is dry, you wanna keep it dry. Adding h2o to a working dry area can be more of a hastle. Use of a small or medium paint brush and soup spoon can get the gold too. If all dry working tools/methods fail, then yes, use the water....at that point it cant get any worse lol
Great vid lots of boils on the Fraser here, I use a motorboat gas bulb sucker and an ice pick like awl 9-10". Good luck, rivers getting low here so time to pan no recreational sluicing allowed :o( too much gold my guess doing half a yard a day usually nice 4ft pile.
Interesting video, as always. You are so right about the importance of a good crevice clean-out. It's one of my favorite (and easiest) ways to harvest gold.
