i think that at least that verse is about abuse because she says, "i couldn't lead them on like mice, i couldn't fool them all, that's not sometihng i do", which is possibly talking about her friends and family, and how she can't trick them into thinking the relationship is ok, and "i couldn't hide my purple eyes, i couldn't swallow them and not even chew", the purple eyes is a black eye, and she's talking about swallowing pills.

Oh gosh, Maria Mena is argueably my favorite pop singer. I don't even exactly know why that is. I think there are way better singers, but her delivery is so unique. She is beautiful and cute. In my eyes, she expresses feelings better than anyone else. Sometimes I get the feeling I have to care about her, she can sound so fragile. Then again she is strong and warm hearted. A real inspiration. She is simply adorable.
