It's pretty funny that in this generation of CM there was a full Japanese, half Japanese and full American. Mika was like a "mix" of Ayaka and Lehua.

you can't be half a nationality. American and Australian are (typically) the same ethnic group. mika is half white, half Japanese. she was born in America so she is American. She speaks Japanese; probably learning from her mom before moving to japan.

@hoperz97 All but Ayaka and Mika had difficulty adjusting and eventually left the group. Miki then left to study singing in CA, and Ayaka eventually left and signed over to a new company. If you look each girl up, you can also find out any public information of their careers post-Coconuts Musume; careers such as a beauty pageant winner, acting, singing, motherhood, and modeling. Several have active and official twitter accounts, so you can get an idea of how they are.

@hoperz97 Chelsea and April left the group due to the difficulties of adjusting to life as a J-pop idol (neither spoke any Japanese when group was formed) and to pursue other careers,such as modeling. about a year later DeLaunay also had difficulties adjusting and left the group to pursue a career in theater. February of 2002,Lehua graduated from the group,went on to the American pageant circuit,and eventually married and gave birth to a daughter.then maki graduated ayaka graduated years later

Lehua was good too. She was really pretty and could had learned Japanese in two years by living there easily. If they would had got one or two more members that were also fluent they could of been big, I think. :)

Lehua was born in America, has no Japanese heritage, and speaks very little Japanese.

Danielle didn't speak Japanese either... so yeah, people were really hard on Coconuts, but they have to remember that most of them spoke very, very little Japanese and were having a hard time adjusting.

Ayaka has an amazing voice, and this is the band she is best known for being in? She could have been an amazing soloist.

i believe this is their best album and that's a huge overstatement. i hated the others.

After seeing 7nin Matsuri I didn't exactly like Lehua, but as i researched Coconuts Musume and found that she had stayed the longest out of the Non-Japanese speaking people i respected her.

I don't like their dancing in this video and hey seem to stride along, but other then that i like the song.
