Very sad. Such owners should be charged with abuse as should people who do this to children under the age of 6. When these animals age they will be in so darn much pain they will start biting their owners to try to tell them how horrible their hearts feel, and how much in pain their ankles, legs, hips and backs are. I don't know what part of OBESE you think is cute but I have been a Vet tech for over 28 yrs and OBESE pets are not cared for, they are ignored and placated with FOOD. It's the owners that have a disorder here, not the pet. Plus when you feed your pet nothing but GARBAGE food from the grocery store and table scraps you are guaranteed to get an obese animal. They are trying to eat to meet their energy needs and thats like trying to get protein out of a box of crackers. Won't work=OBESE.
