  • Great Video Robert. Fitting its main capabilities into two minutes was well executed. BTW, your link in the description doesn't work.

  • that part at 1:27 was so cool with the song xDD haha anyway its a great lens :3

  • since its so expensive does it have image stabilizer or auto focus?

  • @ThisLaoGuy This lens has no auto focus, auto aperture or image stabalisation... The increased cost is due to the lens letting in so much light and having such small depth of field, and binging of Glass and metal construction.

    Thanks for watching

    Stu

  • @ThisLaoGuy If you use it with Olympus m4/3 then its stabilised. :) AF is for kids. :D

  • @Mescalamba AF is for recording yourself moving back and forth without being out of focus or readjust.

  • @ThisLaoGuy 1) it was joke 2) with 0.95 lens Im not entirely sure its even possible to do AF, check how slow is 50mm f1.2 or 85mm f1.2 from Canon 3) wont help in movies, you need to MF anyway (unless you have SLT, but then you dont care about this lens).

  • I am very interested in this particular lense for my new GF3x...

what suggestions may you have for a zoom with a large aperture?

I am hoping to get something above 150mm with a 1.7 (or faster if possible)

  • @periodictable2 You might get 150mm f2 from Olympus for 4/3 and use adapter to m4/3s. With GX1 it should be able to focus correctly (maybe bit slowly). Fastest "regular" lens are 200mm f1.8 Canon or 135mm f1.8 from Zeiss for Sony. Cheapest way would be some 135mm f2 lens, most manufacturers makes at least one.

  • What's the name of the soundtrack? It sounds real nice.

  • Great video keep up the good work.

  • With a Olympus EP 3 PEN Yes.

  • How much?

  • Beautiful presentation, for a fantastic lens. Please bear in mind that focusing manually through a LCD screen is not an enjoyable task and be prepared to have a large percentage of shots out of focus. I like to amuse myself with my GF1 and cameras and the old M42, Nikon and L39 lenses, although not when you are in a hurry.

  • Great video keep up the good work.

  • Hi - What would I need to fit this lense onto a Panasonic Ag-AF101 - and would this same mount work with a Panasonic GH2 as well?

  • @76rick This lens will fit directley to a panasonic AF101 and a GH2, in fact it will work with any camera that has the micro four third mount... it is available from stock. please the robertwhite co uk web site

    Thanks for watching

  • Insanely fast aperture? Yes please.

We are lucky to be based in Poole

  • what song is this?

  • where can I buy this lens? I didnt find it with any dealer in US nor anyone from India has a clue about it.

  • @1986Chaitanya

You can buy this lens from Robert White Photographic

web site at the end of the video

available from stock 27th June 2011

    Thanks a lot

    Stu

  • 12mm would be cool. M4/3 doesnt have any good wide angle primes.

  • @roger767

    Good point

additional MFT primes from Voigtlander are on our wish list... we can but hope that Cosina decide to further this range.

    Thanks

    Stu

  • that's a great help for me thnx a lot since i didn't know should i go with a voightlander 35mm 1.2 or this 25mm 0.95 with my af100. and this if defenetly the choice since i need something wide on low light and the 25mm will be the one.

  • what will be the crop factor on a camera with a micro four thirds chip and what is the crop factor on full frame canon camera ?!

  • @Gorillaa5

Micro four third has a 2x crop factor against 35mm stills, so this 25mm lens would be a standard lens on a micro four third camera (just like using a 50mm on full frame)

due to image circle and flange focal distance This lens will NOT fit a full frame 35mm camera. or c cropped 35mm camera

    regards

    Stu

  • Is there anyway to mount this lens to a Nikon D3s? You would have a low light power house. I have looked and cannot seem to find a Micro 4/3 to nikon adapter- though the other way around is prevalent...

  • @jamiesonmulholland I don't think it's possible, the m43 flange is much shorter than nikon's, it would break the mirror, also the D3s has a full frame sensor, you would only get partial coverage

  • @jamiesonmulholland

I am sorry but it would not be possible to mount such a lens on a Nikon due to flange focal distance and image circle

you could consider the Zeiss 50/1.4 ZF.2

    regards

    Stu
