i really want to get this game..i was last month in city of frankfurt and it was out of stock for the price im used to 50-60bucks..they only had it for 75 bucks and not the death edition..now they have it pre-owned..i hope it will be a better and more fun experience than God of war 1,2,3 for ps3..i finished them they were awesome..but the only thing holding me back is i played the demo..and the bitch death was crying like a little bitch..NOO...PLEASE!! read a Book called " A Case for Faith" by Lee Strobel. it is a very good book which presents both sides to the validity of Christianity, the Bible and a few other religions. It is very good about presenting all the evidence, and it covers a lot of the basic arguments against the Christian faith, like the problem of evil and hell. It is a very good read and potentialy life changing if you let it be.

I would find it interesting if a company or a modder made a game where u are in First person view as dante, and witness his journey in hell, almost like your in an interactive 3-d book. you see the tortures, pains, and everything else the denizens of hell have to be with forever. on a lighter note, this does look like God of war, its like they changed from greek mythology to christian stuff.

I agree. But you have to take the majority of gamers into effect. If they followed the book word for word, and you didn't fight anything, but rather just walked through hell (although it would likely be scary, and appealing to some) it wouldn't really appeal to the larger market (the God of War, Call of Duty, Halo, etc, etc, kids)
I personally think it'd be more interesting in a narrative style. But again. It's EA. And they go with whatever makes the most money,

Luckily I will say that this game looks like it could be a potentially impressive action title, but I also think they are going to miss the mark incredibly when it comes to the plot of the story. It seems that they took the beginning from the story of Orpheus instead of Dante with the whole following a loved one into hell and such. Overall I think this game is probably going to please action fans, but will end up upsetting fans of the book and scholars of said book.

they just cut and pasted what parts they wanted into it and fucked the rest up.

seems like the only reasonable way to think of any religion.. or, as long as you are a good person, you'll avoid hell.. what god would send people who haven't even heard of christianity to hell.. and what about the countless humans who lived before the bible was written?

you have a very valid point what God would do such a thing. But the term God denotes that He is infinitely more than mere humans. Could it possibly be that we as humans are incapable of understanding a God that would do somthing like that? judging a thing like that is like going to a movie and leaving halfway through and complaining that the directors never resolved the plot, it isnt logical if you really think on it. I suggest that anyone who is curios skeptics and beleivers alike

read a Book called " A Case for Faith" by Lee Strobel. it is a very good book which presents both sides to the validity of Christianity, the Bible and a few other religions. It is very good about presenting all the evidence, and it covers a lot of the basic arguments against the Christian faith, like the problem of evil and hell. It is a very good read and potentialy life changing if you let it be.

one thing i dislike about this is that it has almost nothing to do with the book. I would find it interesting if a company or a modder made a game where u are in First person view as dante, and witness his journey in hell, almost like your in an interactive 3-d book. you see the tortures, pains, and everything else the denizens of hell have to be with forever. on a lighter note, this does look like God of war, its like they changed from greek mythology to christian stuff.

I agree. But you have to take the majority of gamers into effect. If they followed the book word for word, and you didn't fight anything, but rather just walked through hell (although it would likely be scary, and appealing to some) it wouldn't really appeal to the larger market (the God of War, Call of Duty, Halo, etc, etc, kids)
I personally think it'd be more interesting in a narrative style. But again. It's EA. And they go with whatever makes the most money,

actually what you said there, about just going through hell without fighting anything. just experiencing, learning, and wtinessing what's happening in there, and with a narative that takes you through the book like it was written, COULD be really awesome. of course not mainstream as you said, and it wouldn't be a game for awesome gameplay. immagine it more like an interactive narative version of the poem.. I think it would be kinda cool anyway ;)

Humor does not have to be sophisticated, I'm a highly intelligent person, however I enjoy the low-brow with the high-brow. I'm able to laugh at anything that's a social absurdity; including jokes where women are told to get back to the kitchen. Its funny BECAUSE its ridiculous and absurd. Its no different from laughing at Looney Tunes as a kid when things are whacking each other on the skulls with mallets. Its absurd, hence funny.

Luckily I will say that this game looks like it could be a potentially impressive action title, but I also think they are going to miss the mark incredibly when it comes to the plot of the story. It seems that they took the beginning from the story of Orpheus instead of Dante with the whole following a loved one into hell and such. Overall I think this game is probably going to please action fans, but will end up upsetting fans of the book and scholars of said book.

It's not about sharing, the point is that Dante sold it as his own "original" work and therefore nowadays no credit is given to the Muslim sources. Btw this phenomena is by far not just with Muslim discoveries, Hindu, Chinese and many other works are known by the person who imported them into Greek/Latin/English/German/French, and not by the original author.
