It was a lottery among the local DC public schools, so yes, that qualifies as "underprivileged" give the sad state of affair, low achievement and standardized test cheating by the teachers who changed answers at some of the worst schools.

It was a very nice gesture that the President and his family made.

I don't vote by political party, I vote for what the politician stands for. Libertarianism is a nice idea but it is unrealistic economically. If i had to label myself it would be progressive, I do not support wasteful spending. I am a Social Liberal and I lean toward fiscal conservationism. I also think that corporations are not the people and any politician who votes based on bribes should be kicked out of office.

Im so glad he ran even if he didnt win because the man taught me something during his campaign ... when people wanted him to run independent he stuck to his guns and stayed his course. There is a level of protection and support for the people the government must provide, providing education and regulating for safety of products is one of them. Health care falls under that category because people's health should be used for profit.
