His suregon inserted a steel plate in his injured leg and it made him have uneven circulation in his front legs and that caused him to have more pain and caused the Jackson's to put him down since the colt was suffering too much.

Actually, if you have read Edgar Prado's book, My Guy Barbaro, you can learn that Dr. Richardson inserted a steel plate and 2 huge steel pins in his injured leg, which caused uneven circulation in his front legs, which in turn, caused him to get laminitis in the forelegs. It caused Barbaro to be in more pain than he was used to so they decided euthnaisa was the best thing for the colt.

right,i have one, but i was just saying, some horses weigh that much, and some dont, its just that the weight of their whole body goes onto one foot, and that is a lot of pressure on a horse.

this could have happened to any horse even if it. wasnt a race horse, its just that 1,500 pounds on one foot going up to 40 miles an hour is a lot of pressure on one area of a body, and apparently it was too much for Barbaro's legs to handle and it gave out, its not just because of the racing part. It could happen to a miniature horse galloping around a field, or galloping on the beach. Not only to racehorses.

it was at the preakness, he took a bad step and shattered his right hind foot. it was getting better and then he developed laminitis (SP) in his left hind foot, and it traveled to his right, and they had to take off a lot of his hoof. and the vet woke up one morning and he didnt seem like himself so they put him down.
