  • James Bond's car went on a killing spree by itself and he had to chase it in a helicopter.

  • render time: 10 years xD

  • OMG!! no one is driving it

  • hi, quick urgent question

i am trying to render an object and the shadows it creates on the ground plane (in 3Ds Max) so i can import them into(After Effects)to place it over real footage.I know this is usually done by making a Matte/Shadow material and then making it "See-Through", from object properties.

My problem is that,i think,Vray doesn't allow you to just make an object in the scene transparent my right clicking on it and changing the "Object Properties".

How can i do this?! thanx!

  • you need to make some kinda movie

  • Shit it's driving itself!

  • @TheFireboy699 yeah,u re right XD

  • mercedes looks real, but the chopper doesn't

  • vray is beautiful!!

    really good animation!!

  • actually I dont like Vray I belive Mentalray its better...but anyway great animation...alil bit of motion blur would be awsome to the helicopter...

  • whos driving it?!? no but yeah nice render!

  • this is fucking unreal.

  • But it verry cool

  • amazing

  • 1st question: how long was the rendering with Vray..? n on what machine?

  • Dude, rendering a car like that it´ll take you like 8 hours, on a normal PC (1CPU, 1 Gb ddr1, etc)

I have 2cpus, 2 GB DDR2, 1GB ati radeon,, and it tookme like 4 hours,

and thats only 1 scene, so make the exercise,

    1 scene

    16 seconds of video

    at least 15 FPS

    There´s your homework dude

  • man, are you sure you know what you are talking about?? no offence, realy... but 15 FPS is extremly low... it should be 30 FPS... and if this was render in only one good computer... it should take an average of 6 to 7 minutes per frame to render... on a 16 sec video it should be close to 2 hours.. for the color pass, then you gotta do an occlusion pass, and so on

  • nice lighting and texture

  • nice render, lighting, animation

  • cool, remote controlled, no driver :P

  • wow looks awesome :D

  • nice

  • great job

  • excellent
