Believe the tune is called California Blues. Off Live II. Just saw these guys in June of 2011. Great energy and show. For those of you hanging onto the past: let it go! Foghat is on a huge tour through the end of the year. Check 'um out.

I have not liked the re-incarnated Foghat ever since I heard the first cut from the first album. I never liked the way they played the old Foghat songs - the guitarist simply wasn't as talented as Rod Price.

So I'm pleasantly surprised to say that I really like this song! I think this is the direction they should take the band - new songs, new stylings based on the blues/rock theme. This turns out to be their version of "I Just Want to Make Love to You" and I really like it!

You all needed to see Foghat when Lonesome Dave and Rod Price were alive. Man, the Boogie brothers were alive, well and kickin' ass. Not taking anything away from the new incarnation, but original crispy is better than grilled.

I actually own 1 of the telecasters they used in Houston at the Plaza in the early 70s...I still play it today.....its a blonde and they actually borrowed it from Red Novak formerly known as Novak Music. Interesting story I aquired the AxE on my birthday at the age of 13 or 14, purchased by my grandmother in March....coinciding with their tour that weekend in Houston. Yep, she has tone ....

The drummer and the bassist are the only original band members left. Lonesome Dave died about 7-8 years ago........such a shame. BUT, I saw these guys in '08 and they actually rocked almost like the original band. Great show. I saw Foghat back in the 70's and this was just as good!!
