This is the only Pink Floyd cover that I've ever enjoyed. It's all down the the talent of the musicians that put effort into it, they're all top notch.
@b48964 It's a cover. Not much more to say about it, other than they put their own spin on it, the way a cover should be. It's not Floyd, but it's not bad, either.
@titox87 no...just no..pink floyd is the shit..and so is there version. they created this song. and if it wasnt for them making this song, they would have never been able to cover it. and if they didnt make the album "The Wall" alot of the best bands, and solo artists, may not even be around today. take Dream Theater for instance, they were HEAVILY influenced by pink floyd. and please..dont diss dream theater. becase if you do...then you have no taste in music. lol
@Mafila Limp Bizkit, really? Try more like David Bowie, Rolling Stones, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilots, Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin., Bad Company, I started digging into the stuff from Big Brother and The Holding Company. Janis kicks ass! Oh yeah, nice attempt at insulting me though. Better luck next time.
From Wikipedia.. "Class of '99 was a short-lived alternative rock band consisting solely of members from notable rock bands: Layne Staley of Alice in Chains as the vocalist, Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine (and later Audioslave) on guitar, Stephen Perkins of Jane's Addiction as the drummer, bassist Martyn LeNoble of Porno for Pyros and with the help of Matt Serletic on keyboards"...
I think Another Brick In The Wall Pt. 2 feels very shoehorned in whenever a movie uses it. (Mostly because they tend to use it so literally- to the point of missing the message.) But, it worked well in this film.

@Zubirrex what means cover? the first song?
ReturnOfJackDawson 9 months ago
@ReturnOfJackDawson No, a cover is a remake (someone "covers" someone else's song). In this case, a cover of Pink Floyd's Another Brick in the Wall

LAYNE DOES NOT HAVE A LISP IN THIS SONG...WTF?? Ive heard it all now lmao. he's just singn deeper. wtf.
olivertheshit 1 year ago
@olivertheshit It's actually the layers of vocals that were done in the studio. Probably one high and one low mixed really deep in mix.

Interesting side note: Rage Against The Machine did a remix of Darth Vader's theme song, AKA "The Imperial March."
