I think this music is the original version. It was a collaboration of Cocteau Twins and Faye Wang. Cocteau Twin has always been her favourite band, so she flew to the UK to visit them and recorded this song with them.

Interesting - when I first heard E. Fraiser of CT many years ago, at their begining, not knowing anything about the group, my first impression was that I was listening to someone from the Orient! It's pretty obvious Liz's secondary track is still there in the 2nd verse and subsequent chorus. I can hear it as clearly as I can on Milk & Kisses. Still, Faye does sound lovely :)
