Football was after all given to the masses. 'Corporate tribalism'. The family (old tribalism) broken up(intentionally) with increasingly divorced single men going down to see their team. H.G wells spoke of giving stadiums to the masses to help direct the masses. Wells' being a member of the 'fabian society' The catalyst N.G.O. that started the labour party. A seemingly grass roots movement like football. Its only a funny old game
