OMG!!!! I've also been stuck on this game for approx 18 yrs!! I recall getting to the bit with Hal, and the computer, asking what are you going to do about it then? Afew times... and never knowing what to do from there... I can't believe this game has torchured me this long when all I needed to type at that point was 'reset computer' and that was the game complete!! I don't feel so bad now, cos at least I was nearly there. On the other hand it's also a bit of a 'doh!' (*slaps forehead*) moment!!
I remember having a (non-playable) demo of this on one of our diskmags. I always wondered what it looked like. Guess I'm glad I never found out.
Looks like it was trying to be as "clever" as Monkey Island, Space Quest, and all those others. (Were those out then or not? I'm not so good at dating these games sometimes) Unfortunately, they tried a bit too hard, methinks, and stumbled straight into the surreal.
THAT was the ending? What was the point of half of that stuff? How was the sword "the key"? What was the amulet that we weren't supposed to look into? Who the hell is cricket? Glad I never finished this myself now.
nooooooooo is that really the end? it was so much better when i was eleven, i only got as far as into thebedroom, wasnt there a scene with trees with a notice on though?
I remember getting this game with the Commodore Amiga 500 back in the early nineties. I loved it! What's mad, is that I never found the bedroom in the castle and the codewheel. By the way, I remember in the first section of the game there was an Inn that was locked. Was it possible to get inside it? Great game, porr ending though...
This was without a doubt the most visually impressive text adventure game I've seen

Wow, thanks for doing this. My family and I played this for HOURS way back when...Could never get past that dragon.
I also recall that if you gave it the command "piss" it would come back with "Aaaah, That's Better, but next time NOT into the wind!"

Its so nice to see the end of this game now i can forget about it. Cheers.

Great to see this again. I absolutely loved this game in the nineties. One of the few games I actually managed to finish.
