With all due respect to Treen, he's full of it. Federal judges operate within very strict sentencing guidelines. Had Edwards' 10 year sentence been outside the sentencing guidelines, his sentence would've likely been reduced by the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans to the 5 years Treen feels was justified. It didn't happen. There was no conspiracy but the law being followed.

I remember when Treen was running for re-election against Edwards. There was a radio parady based on "Return of the Jedi". Characters included Darth Treen, Edi Edwards, Bubba the Henry, etc. I can't wait to read the book.
