I like the idea of sounding out a rhythm pattern, then translating it on the drum. You might have observed renowned trap set drummers like Buddy Rich or Max Roach scatting their beats & ornaments while playing. Not that I am anywhere in their class but I do the same, at least in the early stages of thinking out a riff. Later I might internalize it - you don't want to bother the fiddler with your mumbling :-) Thanx for this; I’ve subscribe to your channel & I hope you’ll post more like this
