This movie, in Austria named "vampires against Hercules" was the favorite movie of A. Schwarzenegger when he was younger. He and his mates first saw Steve Reeves in a few movies, and he and his mates all liked them, but Arnold always thought that Reeves was "too dressy, too elegant and too refined".
That's right, I remember reading about that somewhere. Personally I think he got over his head when he decided to take up politics, but was a good action star.
@F5connecting And dig this - Arnold later met his idol Reg Park and even lived and trained with him & his wife for a few years. Arnold was overwhelmed by the Park's seemingly superhuman workout regime, and it was Park who encouraged Arnold to try his hand at acting, if only to build up his bank account. The remained friends to the end, with Park even attending "Arnold-Con" to meet fans, tell stories & sign autographs. Arnold fondly recalled him as a dear friend & exceptional role model.
8:28-9:19 ~ HEY! It's the Atlantean palace-state from "Hercules and the Captive Women"!

Park, on the other hand, was "raw power".
Reg became Arnold`s first idol.
