What I miss about Wendy Riche is that she always seemed so appreciative and respectful to the fans. She respected the show and it's history. JFP obviously doesn't.
But you got to admit...it was great to see Phelps get cut off, at the 2005 Daytime Emmys, when GH undeservedly got Best Drama Series. LMAO classic moment in daytime history!
From what I heard, this win by GH was a surprise one since they were not expecting it...and I am not sure what tapes they submitted to win, in 1997, but it had to have been from material from 1996. Perhaps they submitted something from Stone dying? Or was that 1995? I can't remember.

She's not only committed a creative crime on GH but she's come close a couple times in her overall career to breaking the law, as in firing Kari Wuhrer (ex-Reese, GH) and Laura Koffman (ex-Cassie, OLTL) while they were on maternity leave. And one of those cases led to a lawsuit. She clearly isn't as knowledgeable as to what actions look suspect in law breaking or else she would have been much more cautious in deciding one's fate while taking care of a baby. She is disgusting.
JFP was also responsible for Genie Francis leaving. She didn't directly fire but she wouldn't allow Genie to take her vacation that has always been in her contract knowing Genie would leave if she did that. I don't understand how this woman continues to get work.
@juniorz1 she's a spiteful, power hungry, misogynistic soap loving, bitch and I stand by my comments on her. What she did to Laura Koffman at OLTL was deplorable. She might be good on the aesthetics value (although GH's lighting looks like a travesty) but her view on storyline leaves too much to be desired. How she kept continuing to get hired after doing shit to so many shows is beyond me.
Days of Our lives is crap and has always been crap. And in 1997 "General Hospital" was AMAZING, they had a great season with some of the best stories ever. DOOL was as usual crap.

The woman behind the lovely and wonderful Linda Dano looks SO bitter...it's hilarious. Must have been one of the producers of 'Another World' fearing that the show would get canceled that year.
