  • Seen someone lose weight eating twinkies and multivitamins for a month. As long as you take in less calories yeah you'll lose weight. It might not be optimal but obesity is also the largest health concern these days.

  • This guy knows his shit.

  • fad diets make me horny

  • except eating trans fat, that would be a different story

  • love your body

  • The problem is that probably 80% maybe 85% of his audience will not workout hard enough in the first place or be motivated to eat the healthy meals that warrant the unhealthy meals to to be in a calorie deficit. I've seen enough of his videos now, I kind of already knew what to expect from the title......hes crazy, hes very positive and I'm sure has alot of merit but really??

  • @bradk766 your an idiot look at him and his results.... cased closed stfu

  • @inofe sure thing kid

  • it makes sense the problem is the long term effects of eating greasy food. but like he said in small amount.

  • I tride to get abs but I failed because of this reason

  • you know what! this reminds me of a debate a coworker and I had about food. She tells me about how bad it is that i had a breakfast that was close to 1000 calories in a day, while she was snacking on a salad and some popcorn later in the day. She comes to work early morning all tired, I come to work energetic. i go to the gym and do a 30 minutes cardio workout, she does yoka and some other simple workout. I am the energetic type in the morning, she is tired... O_O who is at the wrong?LOL

  • con: btw! i make sure that my calorie intake does not max out my daily cal. intake, like you said! i workout and burn off the extra calories. I go to work in a good mood , compare to my coworker's mood. And get out ready to go to my 2nd job, compare to my coworker's exhausted look on her face at the end of the day, I am good LOL and after all of that! I still go to the gym after my 2 jobs. and this coworker is gonna tell me how to eat?? I am still losing weight, and lost inch off my stomach :)

  • I think the main problem when eating badly is very quicky your body starts to crave bad foods, for me it's ice cream if I don't watch myself I will eat the whole half gallon and then go a binge and the only way I can stop is to grab myself by the back of the neck and detox for a few days and then i'm okay, it's still always better eating healthy small meals but it's impossible not to ever enjoy something unhealthy, I love Breyer's ice cream it's my kryptonite!!

  • I usually agree with him, but saying that eating bad foods will make you healthier and loose weight is insane. That's like saying i can eat chicken and broccoli or a sneakers bar and if they both have the same amount of calories either one does the trick.....wtf yeah same calories but most of the calories from the sneakers is fat and carbohydrates, and no nutrtitional value, i think you need to step your game up steve.

  • @juicedbrik Actually, I have to agree with him. For years, my diet has consisted of one the worst diets any typical American can have. And yet, you couldn't tell just by looking at me. I just started working out in August, and didn't change my diet AT ALL. In the first 2 weeks, I had multiple people telling me I was looking a lot leaner. I checked my weight again to find that I actually did lose weight. Ever since, I still havent changed my diet, and the only weight I put on is more muscle.

  • @juicedbrik thats good sayings this video was wrong itsl ike promoting unhealthy foods bad foods doesnt only have calories but it haveo ther bad sides in it as well eating healthy will have so many benefits eating chocolat and almond or spinach will have alot of difference chocolate have sugar ando ther crapy but spinach almond is heathy full of vitamins man some time people jsut are crazy

  • @juicedbrik I agree with steve everything in moderation including moderation, if your eating a snickers bar it may not be the wisest choice but going on your daily , weekly, monthly food intake it's not a problem, the body isn't prejudiced calories are calories.Providing you consume less than you burn whats the problem? You can still lose weight, satisfy a craving and go about your day.:)

  • @arniemazmax you dont know much about nutrition friend.

  • @juicedbrik You dont take chicken sandwiches with you when you go mountain cimbing you pack some chocolate you need the calories. Horses for courses.

  • @arniemazmax really you pack chocolate when you go mountain climbing?. You must not be very healthy friend. There are better ways of getting calories for example seeds and nuts. Also drinks like gatorade. If you knew anything about nutrition you would know that chocolate even pure cocoa ones are high in sugar and can dehydrate a person in any activity, specially in a demanding activity such as rock climbing. There are far better dense calorie foods out there. Chocolate is not one of them.

  • @juicedbrik Sneakers bars are ok, but I find the rubber gets stuck in your teeth and they tend to smell a bit like old feet.

  • @juicedbrik up to a certain level i think what he is saying is wright...cz if u just think about loosing weight it doesnt matter what u eat as long as u eat less than u consume. but having said that if u just eat bad foods thinking ohh its ok cz im loosing weight u gonna end up with diabetes or heart disease.

  • I wish steve and others would battle al these fitness guru's and expose them for what they really are. A FRAUD!

  • @LiftHeavyEatProtein Thanks! I also host a BlogTalkRadio com show. You can listen there or on iTunes. Search Steve Turano. • This is true, but obviously if you want to "love your body" properly, the calories you DO eat will be good calories from nutritious foods most of the time. You can loose weight eating Snickers all day, but you'll probably also have a heart attack soon. Weight loss, or "skinniness", is NOT the definition of "healthy"! Skinny people die too! Fat loss, and healthy eating, are two different subjects and two different focuses.

  • is this sarcasm?

  • I know its the number of calories that make you gain or lose weight, however if you live off unhealthy foods wouldn't that give you other health problems that would ultimately lead to weight gain? or at least prevent you from doing exercise.

  • I dont have cheap days not that offend I go like every 2 - 6 months I eat some not heathly food

  • thanks

  • hey steve I was just wondering how you eat. Do you count every calorie you put in your mouth or do you just kind of estimate the total number of calories you eat a day and then do exercise

  • Estimate and workout!

  • i have just started back going to the gym, been going about everyday doing at least cardio but most of the time is weights then cardio everyday i go. is there a way i can calculate about how many calories i burn in a workout session? thanks

  • hayy steve i eat fast food alot like , burgers ,chips and pizza to try n gain weight is this bad?? and shud i do this diffrently?

  • Steve, it's interesting when you mention about how you eat. Maybe you should share some of your daily food / calorie intake.

  • i need to workout

  • Great vids and all but I still think ppl should rather eat healthy, obviously.... but try to like mention health benefits also. Not all people want to lose weight and still die of cancer and heart disease within 10 years.

    etc etc

    lol

Love the vids, you know your shit. I am just saying lol

  • I agree with you about just taking a third of your food off of your plate and eat food that you want, just not a ton of it. The only thing I can say is if you don't eat enough fiber and drink enough water, you may end up constipated, not fun... eventually your energy levels may become low because of the quality of food you are eating. If it is all processed food with preservatives the body will not be happy, it may be skinny but not full of energy to work out to lose weight

  • I will try to make this my next video. While equal amounts of all calories will causes about the same amount of weight gain what's more important is a person's level of fitness. Fit people can utilize fat much better than out of shape people. Therefore heavy people should have a lower fat diet while fit people have have a higher fat diet. It all has to do the the higher levels of fat burning

    muscle enzymes fit people have.

  • 10% abd under is very low and difficult to maintain. It's still the total number of calories eaten that's important. But if I had to choose I would say low fat is more important since sugar is more easily utilized by the body. Fat has to be broken down taking more time.

  • Thanx for the advice. I've changed to a low fat lifestyle (not a diet) for some time. I would love you to do a video on your take on if all calories are created equal. 200 calorie salad vs. 200 calories of sugar free candy. If it's all about calories these would be equal right? I don't think so, but I always here you speak of calories being the most important factor in weight loss and weight gain. I will feature that video on my site if you decide to.

  • Steve, got a question if you could answer it. For someone looking to get a body fat percentage under 10% for a male, which is worse, sugar or fat? I've seen fat free ice creams that have 200 calories, 0 fat but 15 grams of sugar. And I've seen ice cream with 8 grams of fat with no sugar at 200 calories. What's the worse of the 2 evils? P.S. Great VBlog.

  • this is very true! the reason to eat healthy food is because it contains less calories. so its much better for you (you won't feel hungry for several hours) to eat for instance 3 big salads instead of a BigMac & a coke.

  • what a joke lol

  • @jzintut

    ...

  • Both will make you just as fat!

  • Maybe i should throw lard on my salad instead of cold pressed olive oil. This is where I disagree with you Steve.

  • Your a genius!

i eat crap a lot, and still lose weight!

  • Your a genius!

  • Comment removed

  • totally agree... i think it's much better to eat healthy and maybe be a lil overwieght than to eat junk food and be thin... i rather live longer than to look good and die young.

  • I'd rather look good and die young like true rock n' roll but I completely agree. Its far better to eat healthy, not just for fat loss but for a number of reasons.

    1.) More energy

    2.) Clearer skin

3.) Better for your oral care routine and teeth (better breathe)

4.) Your internal organs will function better and stay in better condition

    5.) Prevent cancer

6.) Improve your sex life! (eat junk = not good sex life - IMHO).

  • @enchlossen1

    couldnt agrre with you more...

i think its misleading info here

  • @enchlossen1 You have a point,..but Steve is referring to purely weight loss,..and there ARE many health benefits to that alone.

  • @enchlossen1 I dunno about that. I'm sure there are different circumstances for everyone where no matter if they eat the healthiest foods ever, it still won't matter vs someone eating whatever they want.

  • @enchlossen1 dude look at him an look at your self i bet your no where near his sizeso stfu

  • kool! thank you!

  • LMAO @ RUBIK & AJK

AJK - if anyone consumes one of those two alone, I honestly think that they deserve whatever is coming to them.

He's talking about any normal meals, a big mac once in awhile, some fries, all those "bad" foods still have many vitamins etc. they are just packed with calories.

  • I MEANT ASJ***

  • Every night i excercise right befor i go to bed

  • Steve your awesome but I cant agree with you on this one, all calories are not created equally, a 2400 calorie diet full of Tuna will have a much different impact than 2400 calories of sugar,,,,,you would be much better off eating healthy

  • but nobody eats a diet totally based on sweeties...

  • when eating bad food vs good food do you get the same amount of energy - or is it as good for you - and does it help repair your body the same way? nope! - i know that you CAN eat bad food and lose weight - but dont make it seem like its an ok thing to do when your providing weight loss information - but this is no nonsense strait fact video - so thanks!

  • how much caluries can u consume a day?

its trans fat or total fat bad?

    help me plz

    luv your videos!!!

  • I absolutely agree with this... though I consider eating to be of more import to myself than losing weight. In the ned, a Calorie is a Calorie. Though there is some evidence coming out that might not be quite the case with a Calorie from trans-fat... not sure how well-designed the studies are, but the early results are alarming.

  • Dude. Can you just take your shirt off and bounce yer pecs? Pleeeaase.

  • As his little sister and #1 fan I'd like to thank everyone for all your support, you guys rock! It's nice to know his hard work is appreciated. Someday when you see him on TV you can tell everyone you've been watching since he was on YouTube.

  • You should try to get your own t.v. show or something. I love watching your videos.

  • Glad you think so because that's the plan. We feel it would be the best way to share Steve's information and help as many people as possible.

  • Legend!!!

  • Oh I love this.. I know I'm trying really hard to eat healthy its just nice to know its okay to indulge every now and then. Tons of hugs ♥Mel

  • Love your message Steve. Coming from a guy who lost almost 200 pounds on his own (I'm 6'5" 235, I used to weigh 420), I'm glad there is someone out there teaching a sane and common sense-filled message. Keep on teachin'!

  • What about cholesterol and eating well for energy? I don't think it's as simple as you say...sure you can lose weight eating twinkies as long as it's under the calories you burn off in a day, but it can't be good for your health.

  • I'm here helping people understand how and why to lose weight. Lose weight and your cholesterol will go down. Once you accomplish one goal then you can begin to eat healthy. Too many goals and people lose focus instead of weight.

  • Also, I didn't say eat nothing but junk. I said if you're going to eat it, schedule it into your total calorie intake making sure you don't over eat. Some "bad" food is necessary for sanity.

  • Truer words could not have been spoken :)

  • "Well no joke!" Love that line. I smell a catch phrase.

  • Mikma wasn't here.

  • Spot on as usual, great video!!

  • How to count my burned exercise calories if I'm not training into the gym?

How many calories will I burn up if I'll do one push up? :)

  • LOL. Just telling that exact same thing today to a buddy of mine. (Yeah...Stole the info from the CD's!) And yet another great tip from Mr. Straight Shooter himself. :D

  • Haha That was to awesome! great simple advice! I need to get your c.d.

  • Great video, thanks Steve!

  • Dude~ you RULE!!!!

  • Out of all of your tips, THIS is the message that has been the most helpful to me. Wow I can lose weight without starving?! Thanks for dispelling the myths.

  • My pleasure!
