i think sik might be exaggerating a bit about destroying a 450, i'm a 2 stroke guy but i can admit these newer 4 strokes are a tiny bit quicker, but not enough to make him faster just because he is on the 4 stroke, they are even enough that your skill levels will have a much bigger effect on who is faster and not to mention, you will be a lot happier when it comes time for a top end, 2 stroke maintenance is much cheaper

I agree, my KX 250 is crazy fast. I can just about lift the front end off the ground in all my gears. Plus it has an outstanding top speed. the other day on a back road I smoked a crotch rocket 0-60. I'm not against other sweet bikes though, The Yamaha yz's have always been really fast, plus it matters how people have them set up. Any bike can be fast with the right set-up.

yea really its nothing alike, a 450 4 stroke has 12:1 compression ratio, a kx 250 has 9:11:1 compression Much lower!

The strange thing is, 4 strokes (racing ones only like crf 250r crf 450r crf 150R) rev higher than 2 stroke 125's and 250's

the crf 450r redlines at 12 400 rpm the

cr 250R (2 stroke) redlines at 11 800 rpm

the cr 125 redlines at 12 100 and the crf 250R red lines at 12 800 rpm

that plus the 4 stroke tourque is what makes them so powerfull. 2 strokes are fun though!

I agree with pretty much everything, and i know you are giving general stats, but especially on two strokes you are a bit off, the 01 KX250(I have one, and sense this video is of an 01) has 10.8:1 and i believe 9.0:1(ratio's change from lower revs to higher revs.)
