the way the exhaust comes out is badass

  • Thank the Nazi's for bringing you this technology.....( not that I'm a fan of the Nazi's )

  • i remember watching this in tampa,fl when it launch i was amazed how i could see this on the other coast of florida and how bright it was.

  • So obsessed with these stuffs.. :D

  • Unbelievable

  • This is just fucking amazing. The guy who designed this should get a nobel prize.

  • @lowerlowerhk

It wasn't one guy but thousands of people. And there's no such thing like a Nobel Prize for engineering...

  • Huge jump in video tech from when it started, to this point. It looks surreal.

  • God that's so fucking cool

  • i watched this one from the bridge in new smyrna beach (like 20 miles from KSC) and still remember thinking "holy shit that thing is BRIGHT!" i'm so glad i got to see one go up, such amazing potential we have

  • Atlantis finally lifts off for its final journey

    details at

    webfuzonDOTnet

  • Out of all the space shuttle videos, i think this one has the best engine noise :)

  • it´s amazing can´t describe it

  • this is unfortunatly primal technology...

  • look the smoke at the right side, it´s going fucking fast lol.

  • if only we had a ray gun..

  • love the startup at 0:12 !!

  • @pizza14fer thats the best part I agree

  • Amazing, just wish we could do more space exploration, the first time I went to Kennedy I was blown away.

  • Cool Launch

  • Cool Launch

  • thanks for shutting this down obama you asshole

  • @GamingMusicVideos1 Shuttle retirement was mandated by President Bush in 2004 in order to fund his Constellation program. 2010 has been the retirement date since 2004 (now pushed to April 2011). President Obama cancelled the underfunded, over budget and technically malperforming Constellation program and has suggested a partial replacement. It is obvious that NASA is not a priority for the president, but it hasn't been a priority anyone since President Johnson - including Bush.

  • @GamingMusicVideos1 its not his fault dude we just cant afford it anymore i stand with the president

  • @noobyhomestv

ha ha who the fuck was HILER.

  • On what date did this launch take place? Awesome video! It's something you never get tired of watching. At least I don't!

  • 2 students from my school are seeing a launch that caust thousionds to see, we got it free by NASA

  • @DEFORCER throttle-up was said immediately before Challenger blew up.I will always remember those two words. No it was faulty O rings that caused the explosion.

  • @jimmysavileobe -what ?????? are you on drugs? americans did this! the english have nothing like this! AND not all americans are yanks, quess you didn't know that either.

  • look nice

  • this is amazing...us english are the bollox..the things thatwe do make americans look silly..you would never see a yank doing this

  • Atlantis just finished it's last flight. Everyone who flew on that flight was destined to be completely safe.

  • what would be really cool is if nasa produced versions with all the interesting parameters of the vehicle displayed, air speed, altitude, fuel flow rates, combustion chamber pressures, turbopump speeds & other cool stuff, even if it were only synthesized data it'd be 1000x more awesome to see

  • Holy Shit COOL!

  • I was at the STS-129 launch. It was my first launch and it was unbelievable. That's me standing just left of the clock at 0:24. I have my hands up in the air, ala Touchdown! The noise and the vibration from 3 miles away at the press site is something I can't even describe. So fantastic!

  • @mooneyman13 lol looks like your a statue

  • Love the HD AB ty!

  • that must be sooo scary for the astronauts!!!!!

  • I always wanted to see the HUD view at launch...

  • What sort of research do they do up in space?

  • Medicine, and effects of chemical reactions in zero gravity, effects of bacteria/viruses in zero G, etc...

  • @CelticReject Mostly Experements. like what haappens when you do this to this, and then compare between what happenes on earth with

1G to space with 0G. Also things like what happens to humans when in space and at 0G for so long.

  • @CelticReject space research obviously

  • @thetrolone Such as?

  • i dont think the announcer had enough lame puns....steering into the center lane of highway 129? come on...

  • Wow, Amazing !

  • always awestruck when watching it... powerful!

  • Always Awesome to see!

  • awesome

  • Amazing

  • Ever since Challenger, I always get nervous when they go for throttle up. I was a high school student in my senior year when that accident occured and I cried my eyes out for days.

  • @DianaBoston just imagine how long you'd have cried for if you knew how many other people died that day in accidents world wide...

  • @DianaBoston It had nothing to do with throttle up. Throttle up is associated with the 3 liquid-fuel main engines. There is no control over the solid rocket boosters which were the cause of the Challenger disaster.

  • @DianaBoston won't ever forget the challenger my 1st wife was crying when she picked me up from work.

  • awesome vid give us more :)

  • SUPERB VIDEO! We are waiting our heroes on the 27th at KSC!
