You will want to do the 2nd blizzard a little bit infront of the group. It takes time for the blizzard to start.

It's still great in 3.3. I posted an up to date aoe tutorial for level 50-68. Check it out in the video responses if you're interested.

This is a good vid, though I don't recommend mana shield. You'll have to drink too often and it will kill your pace. Frost Barrier should be enough.

I do not recall at all, I retired my mage at 60 and this was recorded almost a year and a half ago. To be perfectly honest between 30-50 spell damage isn't really that big of a deal, our gear just isn't really giving us enough spell power to notice, the thing about aoe grinding is simple....technique and skill not luck and gear. If you can do this consistently you will have bragging rights because this has nothing to do with random luck (Except resisting frost nova, just CC it and proceed).

you have low mana when your done with the pull, but you save more mana on AOE than killing 1 by 1

I notice that you come out of it with barely any mana, is it always like this? And also,  how do you make up for the xp lost in waiting around for respawns and getting hp/mp back?

The mana problem is dependant on your gear. With enough int on your equips, you should be fine.

After the pull, there are a few murlocs left on the island, so you can kill those one by one.  There's also a smaller camp on the shore a little north of the island. If they still didn't respawn, there's another island you can swim too, but there are casters, so be careful.

Aside from the blizzard buffs we got since this video was made, his blizzard is weak because he has little to no spell power. All of his equips have int and/or stam to enable him to do this.

yo they didnt get rid of this camp..as well as man im a lvl 41 AOE frost mage but im so bad at this and die SO much and it is really pissen me off..if ne1 got ne tips or w.e..send a message or just leave a replay..the problem i always get is that there is a couple of murlocks that run arund the place and run in after i have pulled every1 and they mess me up as well as i dont pull all the guys so u think it would be easier

only thing i have to say, is i cone of cold after the 2nd blizzard, before the 2nd frost nova, deals an instant 250-300 to all of them, saves youa blizzard in the end, and you don't take any more damage.

Alright, I'm at level 39. 888 HP and 3760 or so mana. I'm thinking I should sacrifice my precious Int for some Stam; am I right?

I can't seem to get a hang of the AoE thing; I'm on a full frost spec right now, and not using Permafrost. I just... can't do it. Trying it in Go'Shek Farm in Arathi and failing miserably.

i dont really think stam is all that important, because with high mana you can mana sheild, and stay killing them for a while, im lvl 33 with around 950 hp and 2200 mana and i find that i run out of mana alot and every time i go AoE grinding i HAVE to have a mana agate with me or im toast lol

So you dont get knocked off you mount when you are pulling.

Together they absorb around 800 damage, and if you took an extra 800 damage on top of what you take after Ice Blocking you would most likely die.
