Big mistake right there. If Jackson Lake had those images imprinted on his mind which included the face of tennant then how come he's totally clueless until he gets that shown to him again? He shouldve recognised tennant as what he thought was a "past doctor" the moment he first clapped eyes on him
@bluejeckett Well by his manerisms, and all and that one scene where it showed his face with Tennant's flashing onand off it, Jackson thought he was the Tenth Doctor, so his mind wouldve replaced all the images of the tenth with his own face, and the real one's face probably got locked back in the recesses of his mind until he saw the infostamp
@HughMaha Hmm thats a complex but plausible explanation I suppose but if thats the case then why did he still not recognise Tennant as a man whose face he had a memory of? He doesnt say "Oh I've seen ur face before" upon the first meeeting, whichever way u look at it, its a botch up
want are the fan's heartless!? I only read ONE comment about feeling bad for Mr.lake finding out his wife was sticking killed by the cyberman!!!!!!!!!!!
@NoBrianNoGain Yeah Ive been watching Tennants entire tennure as the doc from the beginning and I have to say the "I'm so so sorry" line is really realy grating on me now as I get to the end. The one thing Dr Who had in the old days was a great deal of understatement, the one thing the new Dr Who is losing alot of is that understatement, being replaced with hammed up sentimantality and overused phrases such as that one, Russ might've saved dr Who but he also butchered it to fuck.
@bluejeckett I didn't notice it for a while but the crap one was when the Master had made the human race from the future (Toklofane(sp?)) murder the present day population (Eutopia trilogy) but then at the end Tenant got free and floated towards him apologising...I'm sorry, I'm so so sorry...for what!? Why are you sorry, it's him that blew up the world lol
@NoBrianNoGain ha ha yeah, well thats spose to be the Docs ultimate humanity showing through there that he'd even apologise to Hitler for ruining his conquest of Europe if he was involved, which no doubt he probably was, I'm sure theres a script in that somewhere, but ultimately what he was apologising for there was the fact that he had to destroy the masters dreams, basically at the end they were potraying the master as like the Doc's spoilt little brother who had to have his toys taken away
I concur with the Tenth Doctor Jackson Lake would've been a good Doctor. In fact I think David Morrissy would've been a good Doctor anyways. Anyone know the name of the music that starts at 7:34 and goes on through the different faces of the Doctor
@darthkrueger No I agree! Though this is the only time I've said it but kudos to Russel T Davis for the inlcusion of showing the previous 9 Doctors! The only proper recognition the new series has had with the old one (apart from the comic relief min epsiode where Peter Davidson's doctor appears in the TARDIS!
has anyone seen Blackpool with David Tennant and David Morrissey? Everytime I watch this episode I nearly expecting them singing "Gambler" by Kenny Rogers as they did in Blackpool. great Episode, tho. and thx for the Upload and the awesome Quality! I just ♥ Doctor Who :D
"the mind runs away because it can't bear to look back- you wanted to become someone else..." this story could almost have been the doctor dreaming - his own reaction to losing his friends.

:37 AND PAUSE. The Doctor's face when he is looking at Rosita is completely heartbreaking as if he is remembering another certain "Rose"

thought mercy may have been the Rani. How come she WASN'T the Rani??? Would have been ideal and so appropriate if the Rani appeared in this series.

@diddymuck the Rani is almost certainly dead/time-locked along with all the other Time Lords.
