Same tub, 18 gal. nice maybe try local fresh water fish you can eat? Spread out that water feed maybe. Plants in water are robbing your produce as well maybe.

OMG I love your reservoir LOL. I would do some things differently. Take the plants out of the blue tub for one...make some other kind of shade. Also those plastic tubs don't hold up that well in the sun, you'll have to change it out eventually. I would add a filter pad into the filter, you can buy some cut your own filter pad that doesn't have any carbon in it. This is a cool video though, thanks!
oh yeaa dont use or give the fish SHIT GMO fake artificial food.. i mean ur trying to grow organic right'??? then why feed them toxic nutritionless chemicals?? keep it simple stupid thats the best thing to do... nice JOB though!!
sick system i did the same thing.. im growing a couple of things my system its quite simple.. simple stupid thats the BEST! Cheap system made from materias at the local walmart.. thing is i dont like the Fact that the plastic has BPA..oh well.. or Sodium Fluoride in our Tap Water.. Either way im making a video soon of my system btw the water its supposed to have ALGAE green darkish Algae.. let the sun hit the water and add some organic fertilizer to grow it faster the FISH LOVE IT!!
they will kill your fish soaring the ph up to a solid 9 i lost 30 fish over 3 onions that were doing great until water logging and emitting a horrible imbalance onions not so good for aqauponics
I love the wash basin/grow bed. What kind of plant is floating? Not sure if your supposed to have the pebble rocks in the fish tank, just in grow beds.
Never heard of fertilizer in the fish water, but you can foliar spray the plants.
Flood and drain systems are good to make sure there are never dry spots. (but not as simple as your design) So you could put seeds anywhere not just under water inlet.
i like your set but i am worried for you
the plugs look very very um dangerous water and electricty don't mix well
please at least cove the blugs with a plastic box

did you get the tank cycled before adding the fish, or do a fish in cycle? And how often do you do water changes? Probably once a week?

please remove onions before they rot

no onions grew, i had two large cucumber and zuccini plants that were successful

Can I ask, do you have to clean the fish tank?
or do the plants take out all the 'nasties' that would kill the fish?

You should probably do a 10% water change once a week. Goldfish don't like rapid water changes.
