Each boat needs a security deatail,of at least 6 men, equiped with at least 2 GPMG's and RPG's, the3 ships need fitting out with secure areas, the crew can lock themselves into, while the fighting starts, the Navy can then move into the area and blow them to hell while the crew are safe. Key areas of the ship need to be set up where the security detail can return fire in safety. This is a small one off cost for the price, and will indeed lower the insurance premium, also a flag stating ARMED.

The Somali fishermen would dog and obstruct a larger vessel and demand part of the haul rather than fish themselves. Each boat needs a security deatail,of at least 6 men, equiped with at least 2 GPMG's and RPG's, the3 ships need fitting out with secure areas, the crew can lock themselves into, while the fighting starts, the Navy can then move into the area and blow them to hell while the crew are safe. Key areas of the ship need to be set up where the security detail can return fire in safety. This is a small one off cost for the price, and will indeed lower the insurance premium, also a flag stating ARMED.

I was in a group kidnapped by Somali pirates 5 yrs ago- we were released after 3 wks & treated well throughout.
The exception was when they realised there was a gay couple in the group. Enraged, they nailed them to crosses, cutting their genitals off with machetes & stuffing them into each others mouths. They were then left to out die in the 40 degree C heat over several days.
