1. The actual animations are made in an animation program, not in SFM itself

2. Henry's Animation Tool stores positions of all bones together in frames, so it is pose to pose movement, without any smoothing, just linear. And that is why the animations are very akward, if you don't tweak the animation enough. Animation programs have abilities for frame smoothing and 'local' keyframes.

3. Garry's Mod can be used to playback these animations and add post processing effects.
