Sesame Street use to spark imagination, creativity, and was a fun place to visit. Today Sesame Street is just a shell of it's former self. Elmo has singlehandedly destroyed what was great about the show. CTW changing age demographics for SS has not helped either. Changing a beloved characters name (Cookie Monster to Veggie Monster) just because kids are getting fat is absurd. Kids are fat because they refuse to go outside and play for hours as my generation (X) once did.
It's largely because of video games that have made children getting fat, especially because they refuse to go outside. I wish King Minus (do you know that sketch?) would make all video games disappear with his finger. It's probably the change in the Sesame Workshop staff, rather than Elmo, that has hurt Sesame Street. I don't think Jim Henson would approve of today's Sesame Street.
@Pocockable I only saw King Minus when in repeat. I believe he was from the earliest days of SS (I was not born until 75). But yes kids are too lazy today, and many parents only feed that behavior (no pun intended). Jim would be disappointed with how his beloved characters have been horribly mishandled. I am a bit surprised that Frank Oz or Carrol Spiney have not been more vocal. They have been with the show since it's beginnings.
hahaha! ya, it does look like she's drawing on the wall, and so kids would think that its OK to draw on the walls because they saw it on sesame street.
Of course, who DIDN'T draw on the walls when they were younger?
When I was a child, I always thought she said: 'Someday, I could be someone who makes taaaaall buildings, or 'britches', or even whole cities...... Britches, get it? It took me til my teens to realize she said the word, bridges :)
There are a lot of Sesame Street bits I had trouble understanding. They probably used kids for voice-overs to keep the costs down, but it was hard for me to understand the slurred speech of some of them.
I suppose this girl grew up to be a very good architect.
I'm looking for another long lost sesame street cartoon. I remember has these lyrics found at the s.s. lyrics archive that go:When you've got a cold in your nose And you stop to sniffle and blow

I imagine the results would be the same, no matter which pencil she used.

I got in a lot of trouble after watching this when I was little. I drew buildings all over the walls.

Y'know, I'm fair-to-middlin' with a pencil m'self.

Another good drawing themed skit is where a hand draws fancy buildings, monuments, etc.

What's the biggest pencil in the world?
Pencil-vania!

Wow... I was loking for this 'toon. It's hard to believe that a 7 or 8 year old girl can have MASSIVE drawing skills. Thank you for the upload.

i'm looking for a classic sesame street cartoon and some of the lyrics go: When you've got a cold in your nose
And you stop to sniffle and blow
Don't let your sneeze get away from you
Ah-ah, ah-ah, ah-ah-choo!
Keep it to yourself, it's easy to do
Carry tissue when you go
On a bus out to a show ah ah ah choo
please post it if found thanks

Now if I drew like that on a wall at home, I'd get my ass smacked.
