Hey, is that Jeff Healey playing pedal steel? Sure looks like him. I saw him at a little club in Santa Monica early 90s when he was just starting to make it. Jeff (RIP) was blind and this guy doesn't appear to be, but I was not aware of him playing with DS. Would be too kewl. Does anyone know? Juts love the mournful, plaintive tone of both of their guitars. What a masterpiece!

Last days I digged a little bit into Micheal Jackson''s stuff. His life, career etc. I also watched some live videos. To my surprise I found his live performance so disappointing. Although I never was in to this music, I use to think he was talented. Contrarily he was singing flat and acted forced. not natural. What happen with people's taste? It is actually not about taste but quality. Look at this: "the telegraph road" after all these years, I am impressed. So beautiful.

I totally agree that "the telegraph road" is an eternal masterpiece! And I also keep wondering what happened to the people's taste. Yet it's like you are trying to compare DaVinci's Mona Lisa with Andy Warhol's Campbell's Soups or any pop art. Or to better understand my idea that you are saying that it's smart to eat fillet mignon but it is stupid to eat bananas. Dire Straits and Michael Jackson are two very different genres of music and artistic performance yet both very unique.
