But I think the MP7 can fire bullets of equivilant size to those that go into M4 Carbines. So they're much more powerful. It could be likely that the SAS are already using MP7s. There are tons of ops going on all the time that we don't hear about, and they wont give away any details about their new tactics, so we don't know for sure.

Seals don't do it all only Seal team Six can be compared to the SBS or SAS not all Navy Seals are clased as tier 1 not all of them do counter terrorism. SAS and SBS had decades of experience in Northern Ireland and doing counter terror for other countries over the decades. Doing covert ops in N Ireland gives them real experience of counter terrorism that no other has.

Why does everyone forget the SBS :) They go through the same selection and training than the SAS but then they specialise beyond that of the SAS. So in fact the SBS are better than the SAS but less famous i guess :)
@SuperEpeen They are VERY secretive (so are the SAS now but they quickly declassify info), the sas are in afganistan and aren't saying anything, they were there in the raoul moat incident and the SBS are in Somalia. The SBS are more secretive as they have apparent acses (sorry about spelling) to nuclear missile launching submarines
@vegamarco4 Let me tell you a few things. First of all the SAS fight all forms of warfare. Sea, land and air. The SAS have a "boat troop" that do the same underwater insertions and demolitions as the SBS and SEALS.
Secondly, your average SEAL is second tier spec ops. DEVGRU are teir one and are therfore comparable to SAS/SBS/1SFOD.
Google "Bloody Heroes Damian Lewis".
You will find out that DEVGRU (only DEVGRU not average SEALS) have a soldier exchange program with our SBS.

SAS troopers rotate through the four specialisations periodically - so one trooper would have experienced all types of warfare by the time he has retired. The British do it that way because they believe by concentrating a team on one type of warfare at a time the men take more in and get to pefect that particular skill.
Average seals ARE tier two.

You guys do realise the MP5 is for close quarters counter terrorist operations, it isn't used all the time by the SAS. I'm pretty their standard 'Assault' weapon is the C8.

@JFMUFC26 best advice i could give you is to do hill sprints for fittness and when you do selection, make shore you do your research on the regiment and show them that you want it realy bad. but i would get your mile and a half run down to at least 9 mins 50, good luck

Why does everyone forget the SBS :) They go through the same selection and training than the SAS but then they specialise beyond that of the SAS. So in fact the SBS are better than the SAS but less famous i guess :)

@SuperEpeen They are VERY secretive (so are the SAS now but they quickly declassify info), the sas are in afganistan and aren't saying anything, they were there in the raoul moat incident and the SBS are in Somalia. The SBS are more secretive as they have apparent acses (sorry about spelling) to nuclear missile launching submarines

@vegamarco4 Let me tell you a few things. First of all the SAS fight all forms of warfare. Sea, land and air. The SAS have a "boat troop" that do the same underwater insertions and demolitions as the SBS and SEALS.
Secondly, your average SEAL is second tier spec ops. DEVGRU are teir one and are therfore comparable to SAS/SBS/1SFOD.
Google "Bloody Heroes Damian Lewis".
You will find out that DEVGRU (only DEVGRU not average SEALS) have a soldier exchange program with our SBS.

You dumbass there's no average SEAL, DEVGRU just specialize in counter terrorism and hostage rescue they're not better and the tier system is only to keep order, what type of order would britain need? they only have 3 special forces. All i could find about Bloody Heroes is that its a book

SAS troopers rotate through the four specialisations periodically - so one trooper would have experienced all types of warfare by the time he has retired. The British do it that way because they believe by concentrating a team on one type of warfare at a time the men take more in and get to pefect that particular skill.
Average seals ARE tier two.
Britain actually has many special forces units. Want me to name them?

@vegamarco4 Google Bloody Heroes again. Read the passages available. I just thought you would be interested because the author had interviewed SEALS and SBS operators and the book shows how amazingly brave and skilled these two units are.
In the book, he confirms that the SBS have members in DEVGRU and vice versa.
I also thought it would be nice for you to put your blind nationalism to one side for a second and learn some respect.
