Well blast my beard bristles wi'this wee puff o'steam! Heard 'All Come Down' in finished form on the Mary Anne Hobbs show and was pretty feckin impressed. I aint fished out since the 3eps. This'll get the pennies me thinks, he's back to form.
how hard is it to learn pro-tools? i'm an art student and we're using audacity right now... i've never mixed music in my life before this class but i LOVE it. hours disappear in seconds when i get into it--would be cool to learn/teach myself a new program if it's not toooo much for a side project for a full time art student =)
It takes a while, but to be honest, i would recommend Logic over Pro tools. Its ALOT cheaper and does the same thing. I love PT but evrything for it is expensive!
Logic Pro is great as well as Pro Tools, both have an extreme learning curve but the good thing about Logic is that you can incorporate Garageband with it.
I agree and disagree... I think ProTools is very intuitive and easy to use, but not nearly as powerful as Logic. I think Logic has an insanely high learning curve, but the power makes up for it. It's really just the quick keys in logic that don't make sense, very random. However at the end of the day if I had the choice of anything, I would go with a good old ATR.
i would go for reaper. non commercial licenses are only 50 bucks and you can try them for free as long as you want. it has most functions that professional DAWs have.
Mr Greenwood's awesome :)

Yeah, sorry. I misread your question entirely and put a comma in where there plainly wasn't one.
This all sounds intriguing. I loved the 3 EPs... I'll look forward to hearing the finished product.

I believe this would be a troll....
why would you ever use a sequencer (logic here) where you couldn't even change the quick keys?
