Well, I can do a cube in 5 minutes with looking at it, that is more than a lot of people will ever achieve.

2.he did 17/18 cubes in competition where there is no way to cheat now.

3.why would he cheat at a multiple blindfold solve and get 10 wrong?

if you knew about cubing, then that is the most retarded thing ever said.

Breif background: centers on the cube never move, just the pieces around them do. So no matter what you do, the center's will always be next to the same center it is. So if the middle top is white and the middle front is yellow, it cannot be changed to the middle top white and the middle bottom yellow.

This helps him memorize faster because when he looks at a certain piece, he knows where it goes by the colors

It's just the way he memorized it dude, once you memorize a cube for blindsolving you must keep it in the same orientation that you memorized it in. Many people just use white as the top because it's a pretty color.

So far, everyone on here is wrong. I'm not taking the time to explain every cube. For a bit of a hint, look at the center color of EVERY cube on every side that we can see. Notice how they all happen to have yellow as the center on the left side? Or maybe you didn't notice orange on the front, and white on the tops in the center....Why would you make an assumption without any facts? It's not the "headphones", which happen to be normal, every day headphones. It's common sense.

when i do it blind folded to memorize the cube i assign every piece a number for example for the white blue edge is 1 and the white/blue/orange corner is a so i just memorize a string of numbers like 7-4-5-6-1-12 and so on as well as a series of letters c-a-b-g-e-f-h-d then i use algorithms to move the pieces around the cube without messing anything else up(much less strain on memory),

To do it blindfolded you have to memorize it, there's no universal pattern that will solve it no matter how it's scrambled. All algorithms require that you know the colours on the sides, either by sight or memorization.

That must've been a bad instruction booklet. If you know a few basic algorithms (moves) then it shouldn't take more that 10 minutes or so. Even if you're really slow. You should check out some tutorials on youtube. Dan Brown has a really good one, his account is "pogobat". You should check it out if you're interested.
