worse biscuits and gravy I have had. I grew up in the South and moved to the Pacific Northwest. I was looking forward to some authentic down home cooking, but this was not it. Some of the seasonings they added to the gravy, no self respecting southerner would ever add to sausage gravy. Don't go here if you won't down home southern biscuits and gravy.

@munkeehead actually the idea is ; Remove some amount of cholesterol (taste is still there if the indridients are of good quality) and pay a fair smaller amount of money for a smaller/healthier portion of food. I am a big foody myself and I actually love American diners, I went absolutely crazy about them the short time I lived in NY, but to me the amount of food they serve is crazy.

@Pennaki im an american living here in australia and im paying double sometimes triple the cost for food either at restaurants or grocery stores here than i do back home.. its ridiculous. i rather have a huge portion and have leftovers then not enough food and still be hungry. i miss all the diners and diverse food back in the states. here its asian, thai, indian, mcdonalds, nandos, la porchetta, asian, thai, mcdo... ugggh im getting sick of it. i want some down home cookin. thank god for my mom

@munkeehead What you are saying about food prices is correct.I also live in a country where you pay A lot for tiny portions of food. .What scared me when I was in the States is the fact that there were too many overweight people around me. Once I was in a diner somewhere in NJ and I saw a child around 10y old eating a plate of waffles that weighted around 2 pounds. It is a fact that this is the first generation of Americans that are expected to die before their parents.Scary dont you think?

@Pennaki obesity is a problem.. yes. and food contributes to that. but not everyone is over weight and the people who are obviously have other issues than just being fat. sometimes they're lazy too which contributes to them not wanting to exercise or just eat healthy. unfortunately, alot of the best and really good tasting and flavorful food is very fattening and unhealthy. but honestly there are alot of over weight people here in australia too. 4 out of 10 of my aussie friends are over weight.

Wow you two. Take a breather. American cuisine has been called a melting pot for a reason. It takes ideas and techniques from other cultures and combines it into something unique. French cuisine is from where a lot of other cultures and food have learned refinement and flavor profiles. Both food styles have a place, there is no use fighting over it.

These biscuits are easy to make. It's a Peter Reinhart buttermilk biscuit recipe.

The biscuits look good but he screwed up the sausage gravy when he didn't cook the pork separately and then added water. He also should have made the roux separately before incorporating it. I think that i know the older guy at 3:10 in the white shirt.

This place is sooooo Good! I ate here yesterday for the first time, and I ate there again today.

Fried Chicken is the most flavorful tender crisp fried chicken I've ever had. The gravy is crazy Awesome! A balance of spicy, sweet, rich and creamy. And the Biscuits, OMG, Those biscuits can stand on their own. I just ate there and I wanna go back.

Anyone notice how they listed the ingredients for all items I just listed. I'm totally gonna be heading to my Kitchen to so some experimenting.
