These gals are not Americans, I think they're Australian. I find their behavior very rude and obnoxious. Rentals all over the world charge you for usage per hour/day or whatever the rules are. If you agreed to rent a car here in the US for 3 days and decided after one day to return it, you still get charge for the 3 days.
