really you think that tux racer (the equivalent of a Nintendo 64 game) is better than games you can play on windows machines?

you're about the sorriest case maker forLinuxx there is. linux is the worst gaming os you can get. ubuntu etc are garbage for anything other than downloading torrents and playing on the internet.

Its Just as easy to use as windows (in many ways easier).

Macs are probably a bit easier than Linux however they are very restrictive so Linux beats mac overall anyway.

Talking about Ubuntu distro of course (Linux for human beings)

in my opinion Ubuntu is a lot nicer for average computer users. If your a power user or professional who needs some more powerful software like photoshop, autoCAD, and others.. then mac or windows is nicer. if your one of those nerdy teenagers who still uses your computer for world of warcraft and other crappy games, stick with windows. ubuntu is best for those people who have windows and wish they had a mac, but can't afford one. if you still need windows, it won't hurt anything to dual boot.

@jsuydam5 No, powerusers are equiped with linux much better than with mac or windows. Because powerusers can purchase payed subscription for professional software they use and set money on options THEY need to have rather than paying thousands of dollars on yearly updates that have nothing they need.

or just use the add-on (noscript) to block all ads in firefox

@maniaslayer9 The thing about linux is that you could easily move that bar to the bottom or even make Linux look like xp,vista,win7, OSX or whatever!

and yea...i know theres themes for linux too

i just preffer windows...it's fast...does everything i need...and doesn't freeze

i dont want to spend more on mac or downgrade to linux

Yeah there is no Mac vs PC vs other stuff comparisons anymore, but still saying that going from windows to ubuntu is downgrading - is unfair comparison, because both systems have advantages over one another in different areas.

@KriegKadaver really? it works pretty well on mine. windows 7. what a joke too in my opinion. I've had 4 viruses on it so far.  I've never had that many on anything before. you have to be super careful what you visit on the internet with windows 7 from my experience.

windows and mac do, well...mac is way to damn expensive so windows is good and affordable

it's not easy to use at all, it would take about 2 weeks to memorize where everything is, unlike windows, which you just press start and everything is there, you can even search everything

you can't run most of the software windows can, well you can using some software(forgot name)but not as well.
