@MrMinyNuke No, that's not correct. It's a VB Runtime file. Unless you manually install the VB runtime files, you will not have it. It's not a required file for Windows to operate. It stands for Microsoft Common Control. It's part of the VB programming language.

@MrMinyNuke No, it's not going to hurt your system. Don't download it unless you need it to run the program. It's just a control file, it's not going to hurt anything

@MrProductionK If you used the program to make a backup, then just use the program to Restore it. Minecraft can't be running when you backup or restore.

@gameboi9321 Google is being stupid with the redirect. Just copy and paste the link exactly as it's written in the description. Just tested it and it works fine. The redirect Youtube is trying to use is broken.

@marcelinhovr Yes. It's not version specific because it doesn't do anything to do the game file, only the world save file. So it will back up files regardless of what version you are using

I didn't click it after I clicked restore and its still saying not responding =/ Do you know what I should do?

@nightral8I4 I just restored a 32Mb world on my system. took a little bit. if you click off the program, or basically do anything while it is restoring, it will say "not responding". that is a windows file function issue, not the program, but even if it says "not responding", it is still copying. so, just leave it be until it pops up saying complete.

@redstagwith243 You can only restore your world, if you made a backup already. You can't retrieve something that isn't there.

The program has a button labeled "Backup" click that click desktop then "ok"... then if your world breaks or crashes and wont work click "Restore" click on your world on your desktop and click "ok" that will bring the version on your desktop into your minecraft folder and that will be the version available to play on minecraft.exe

I have a question, My minecraft world wont show up when i go to singleplayer, but the file folder is still in the saves file, so how can i get to play the world???

I have a bunch of entries that come up (a few from a wrong folder) and I would like to get rid of them so they aren't on the main screen of the program. Also, if you rename a world, it doesn't rename on the program. Is there a way to reset the memory of the executable to start out fresh?? I tried deleting and installing again but it didn't work. Is there a dll somewhere?

@mmalo812 The program lists all the world saves you have in the Minecraft folder, by folder name. So, if you rename the world, the original folder name doesn't change, just the data file, so that is why the name doesn't show as changed.

@TheHalorox Wait. You back it up and then restore it? That won't do anything. You only need to restore the world if for some reason it gets messed up, or you burn down your house or something. Then you would restore a backup you made with this program.

@capp00 Right now there's nothing like this for Terraria, people have to do all of the backing up manually.

And world data is saved here: "C:\Users\(Name)\Documents\My Games\Terraria\Worlds"

I have windows 7, not sure for mac computers and such.
