  • I understand why people say the things they have said in the comments but change is something that everybody fights against, whether people know it or not. We cannot change nature. War is human nature and peace is the illusion. Chaos, in the way we view it is the order of things and vice versa, Even so, it's good to hope.

  • Roger Waters, the man who opened my mind and my heart <3

  • The most incredible live performance ever attempted and surely executed. Wow !

  • @lhmormille2 paul carrack

  • Damn, Cyndi Lauper has an annoying voice, but great legs.

  • Who is that singing at 3:49? What a great voice!!!

  • ROGER WATERS THE BEST!! MÉXICO

  • Roger Waters is A GENIUS.... Simple as that.

  • Listen to this video, then ask yourself if Roger really needs David Gilmore?? This is the best version of The Wall I have heard.

  • @mr10169michael Listen, You may be Right... But please don't misspell the God's Name... It's DAVID GILMOUR.

  • where do i get the audio for this?

  • Que grossoooooo !!!!

  • Who is the best?

    ... Roger Waters!

  • the second best song writer in the history of Music after Mr. Bob Dylan of course!!!

  • 3:50 who is he? :)

  • @Polium101 paul carrack

  • @rockndorm cheers bro

  • @rockndorm Thanks man, I wanted to know as well!!

  • @Polium101 He is Van Morrison

  • I was playing me set of SACDs version of it, and the dang thing skipped so I came here, It's too nice to have it skipping at the end, ya know!?! What a moment in history. Love those big shows with the supporting fans in the thousands!!

  • wonderful

  • Breathtaking <3

Gonna see Roger tomorrow in Stockholm!

    For ever Pink Floyd!

  • PINK FLOYD... BEST OF HISTORY OF THE ROCK AND ROLL.

  • Now the satelites are confused cause on saturday night

The airways were full of compasion and light

And the silicone heart warmed to the sight.

    Of a billion candles burning.

    ......wow.

  • I was there!! 14 years old and this was the song that really stayed with me.. Well, just remember a LOT of people and no bathrooms:)

  • @thomassml well not all is perfect The Wall concert !!

  • @thomassml jajajja " well not all is perfect in The Wall concert !! Waters is a genius of the lyrics do u remember ?

  • Great music,a great moment in time too because the tide was really turning

  • Waters is amazing - bryan adams, paul carrack, lauper, van morrison - all on top form this amazing night!

  • I like David Gilmour, but this show was amazing!!

Still think that Pulse was better though. Only by a few points =)

  • This is a hope song. Doesn't matter the ego of the musicians, the message is the point.

I think Waters sympathizes with David Icke.

  • Cindy Lauer is HOT, look at those legs.

  • @lalbruiz hahahahaha it,s lauper not lauer

  • What talent! Wish I was there!

EVERYONE is really good in this and their diverse voices blend really well together. I am a big fan of Bryan Adams, Van Morrison, Roger Waters, and, my all time favourite........Paul Carrack (at 1:36 and 3:38 and 5.20), so this song is particularly good for me! Cindy Lauper was also magic!!!! Paul Carrack also sang "Hey You" solo at the same event, which was great.

  • Couldn't get past the first 2 minutes....

pretentious garbage or maybe just giant egos fuckin' it up...

  • Waters Wall was about a rock singer that overtime slowly went nuts....... but to tear down the Berlin wall was certainly significant !! Floyd, always had it just right, with or without each other!!

  • @CrayolaCowboy :The Wall can actually be interpreted to have several meanings and that is the genius of Roger Waters.

  • Grandiose, at the level of the event. One of my favorites.

  • Sad part is, there are kids alive ...teenagers...who have no clue the significant event that occurred to cause this concert to actually happen. Terms like "the wall" and "Iron Curtain" are just things in a history book.

  • @mycroft791

I agree, even though I'm a teenager. Most teens don't care one way or another, but I'm not one of those teens. I think that the events that caused this event were VERY significant, and that without them, the world wouldn't be the way it is today.

  • this is one of the world songs, that everyone just rocks out to.

    and live on Floyd

but that girl in red needs to stfu

  • @0Sirk0 The girl in red is Cyndi Lauper and she does get a bit carried away with the situation

  • @waiotahi52 Tell me - at 2:10, does she gob ob the stage? It looks like she coughs and spits...

  • @steveharleyfan True! Mind you sports stars do it, maybe it's a sign of being famous.

  • this is one of the world songs, that everyone just rocks out to.

    and live on Floyd

  • Niesamowite, naprawdę niesamowite.... im naprawdę o coś chodziło, nie tylko o robienie kasy...

  • Amazing how this really does make you feel and realise that we are all one!!!

    Love And Light to all...

  • what other song does this remind me of?

  • Chingonería de canción!

  • Chingonería de canción!!

  • Chingonería de canción!

  • good this roger but you did "yankit up" apart from sinead ( not being yank) it was alrite )0( jo xx

  • An amazing version of a really great song.

  • try watching the wall with some pink micro dot like i did at leicester square odeon in 1980 when they just put sensurround in the cinemas.heavy shit but i loved it.30years later the O2 live.isnt life strange.

  • My and wife went to see the movie version of "The Wall" and as much as we love Floyd, it was one of the most depressing experience we ever heard. Adding this song to the end at this place, at this time, turns into one of the most amazingly optimistic moments in the human story.

  • Beautyfull, Amazing Show!! Best thing is that was charity concert! Roger Waters, The Wall Berlin '90

  • i was the soppy twat in the corner

  • All the way down the Southeast Asia, the Philippines, I love Roger Waters (and his Pink Floyd group). I still keep my casette tape on Radio Kaos. It's a rare and treasured find.

  • It takes an impressive man with a truely visionary idea to be able to bring so many people together for one cause. Roger is not only a classic visionary that will go down in history as one of the greatest songwriters ever, but is also a man who can bridge the gaps of race, creed, religion, and ideals for onle secular and meaningful purpose. We should all be so lucky to have lived in this time.

  • Roger Waters has humour..Listen to the song when the count down is...at 3-4 secs a man says.."I got a job". Hehe..4 seconds to maybe die:D Nice LP..O ya..had it as lp!

  • Go Paul Carrack! Best voice on that stage...

  • @jacobmoon: yep, exactly. So much passion!

  • Impressive concert. Too bad Roger had to slaughter the songs with terrible guests like Cyndi Lauper and... Van Morrison. Don't get me wrong, he is great, but he completely destroyed C.Numb.

  • @Janne112 couldn't disagree more...

  • Long after the human race is no more, the aliens athropologist will still be able to ear this music, as they are....

    Still First in Space.

    Good luck to all humans!

    The tide is here.

  • What a track to end a Class Album!!

  • Who is that man in the black shirt to the right of Rick Danko at 6:11? I've never been able to identify him. I also never figured out where Paddy Moloney of The Chieftans appeared in the show (so claim the album credits.) That man does not look like Paddy.

  • @kingtarkus Just realised after years of scratching my head that it's Albert Finney, now completely out of the judge costume, and therefore totally unrecognizeable.

  • Roger....Thank you.

  • Magnificent, splendid and spectacular the best!

  • i think this is the best version of this song. all the talent onstage, and each of them seemed to feel and believe what they were singing. Bravo!

  • @larryoduncan That's because, at the time, the tide was turning. Add the emotional reenactment of the fall of the Berlin Wall, and it was a very powerful moment.

  • untrue. Roger is great all by himself, however he approches Diety when he is paired with Gilmour.

  • @larryoduncan

Se sei obbiettivo ascoltati il CD di Gilmour da solo, banale

  • @larryoduncan

Se sei obbiettivo ascoltati il CD di Gilmour da solo, banale

Sorry I didn't realize of writing italian.

If You wush to be right listen at Gikmour solo CD. Just bothering

  • Oh My God!!!!! What a great take on this song! I have loved this song for so long and what an amazing group of artists to bring it together! My God how I miss this mans work!!!!!!! Great job Roger! would have been nice to hear your voice on this but I do get it! What an amazing take on an amazing song!

  • Rambo being an epigone of stupidity I suppose!

  • a very beautiful song

  • Incredible song! This live version is to be seen!

  • Roger, for this and so much more, you are my hero.

  • Wow...leftover 80's garb and in my mind I believe Cindy improvised that ans it was brilliant, perfect timing , pitch, and person. nuff said".

  • One of my fave performances...

    I love Cindy voice..so powerful...

    Roger you are the best..10*

  • Awsome Power......Classical Beauty..

This is the music of Pink Floyd......

    Nothing unites people like music.......

Just look at those faces in the audience!

  • The tide is indeed turning in America

  • Thank you ninaspacechild... I would not have know that...

    :o)

  • Joni Mitchell is so good, cyndi Lauper, Sinead O'Conner, Van Morrison, is that Tori Amos in the gray wig???

  • That's Marianne Faithfull in the wig. She played Mother.

  • Roger Waters: the greatest musician of the 20th century.

  • @kostasp30 Eh, I think Gilmour was better...

  • @MajorFenix

im not sure maybe ure right....they r both on the top.....

  • @kostasp30 Amen Bro.

  • It's funny to compare the cynicism and acid tongue of The Final Cut-era Roger Waters with this song. I think he's a brilliantly underrated lyricist.

  • Wait, sorry, that came out wrong. I should say he's a brilliant lyricist who happens to be underrated. Not that his being underrated is brilliant.

    Sorry, I've been drinking.

  • But on the other hand, Roger did bring a country together and celebrated a historic moment in time....

  • This performace kind of makes a mockery of The Wall. They made the songs way to trendy to the time in th early 90's. I like that 1979 feel of the album. I can bet if Gilmour and the boys did this album live it would have been even more epic.....

  • I don't think I could have ever recovered from the emotion of this glorious occassion, so it's a good thing I wasn't there. But this is why Youtube was invented. We get a small taste of what it might have been like to witness history as interpreted by Roger and friends.Truly an inspired artist with no equal.

  • 2.20 is Bryan Adams and 3.50 is Paul Carrick - haven't a clue who the guy with the Krusty the Klown hair is although I think it might be Thomas Dolby as I know he was in the show but couldn't tell you what he looked like

  • I'm pretty sure you're right about that being Thomas Dolby.

  • TD was playing the part of the evil school master in the Wall narrative.

  • also who is singing at 3:50ish

  • who's singing at 2:20 and who is standing to his left (the one with the clown hair ?

  • who sings at 3 :20 im having a brain fart

  • It's Van Morrison at 3:20.

  • Fantastic Performence..

Cindy you nailed it girl..great voice...

  • ... I'm breathless.

  • Awesome song! Great intro to kick off the song, it just rocks!! Roger Waters!!

  • Well said D4mn Shadows....just enjoy the music..

  • why you guyz talking about des horribal prez, enjoy the song

  • The tide was turning.... and then came the Bush Administration.

  • Yup then it got worse and Obama cam in....oh God what will happen next???? :(

  • LUV THIS SONG VERY POWERFUl AND ME BEING SAD I LUCKED THE REAL MEANING AND IT SAYS ALOT

  • Thank you could not agree more ,so pure

  • io c'ero

  • Stand up people be counted ,Don't let life pass you be without speaking up for what you believe in,THE TIDE IS TURNING MY FRIEND'S

  • Fantastic!!!!!

  • bryan adams is rockin' in this

  • Amazing song. Roger Waters kept the soul of Pink Floyd. The post-Water Pink Floyd is empty, with a nice guitar and a good singer.

  • I know this always a touchy subject with Floyd fans, but I have to disagree. On the Turning Away I find as emotionally satisfying as anything from the Waters-era of Floyd. Marooned is one of the most powerful pieces of music I've ever heard no lyrics are needed to express what's going on. Coming Back to Life IMO is all soul. What do you want from me, you can feel Gilmour's raw emotion come through his singing.

  • You nailed it Jaruel.

  • the best pink floyd solo song ever written!

  • I'd say this one is in my top 10 of Floyd solo:

Breakthrough, Reaching for the Rail, Cat Cruise, The Blue, Pocketful of Stones, Short and Sweet, It's a Miracle, 4 Minutes, and Every Stranger's Eyes are all up high on my list.

  • This is Roger Waters' solo work, it has nothing to do with Pink Floyd.

  • Lokisfenris when I said this song was in my top 10 Floyd solo I was talking about it as a Roger Waters' solo song. Floyd solo was referring to works of members of Pink Floyd in their solo recordings. Sorry for my comments not being clear.

  • Damn good song.

  • brings tears to my eyes. this will be my wedding song lol

  • looking forward to the invite! the tide is turning for the groom, now he has to buy Tide.

  • this song is so nice it brings tears in my eyes everytime I watch it.. especially after watching the entire DVD :D

  • one of the best concert ever

  • The Cyndi Lauper's voice is from other planet....my God that tremendous...is simply amazing, unique. The power and emotion from her voice is incredible

  • wow amazing song 1990 berlin featuring bryan adams and sined

  • this song may just be the best ever written, and just look at this performance omg. different artists all joining together to perform a concert, and then all sharing a song at the end :D this is why i love listening and playing music!

  • This is the best ending own by Roger Waters himself in 1990. I really like this concert. This song makes me cry alot. Some my guys were the same too.

  • Pink Floyd never dies

  • this song is god

  • the singers.roger waters,joni mitchell,cyndi lauper,bryan adams,van morrison,paul carrack.

  • What is Joni Mitchell doing with her hands? It really unnerves me!

  • The tide is turning, John Mccain.

    Like Roger, I support Obama.

  • This consert is fantastic

  • did i see sinead o connor up there?

  • Probably, she did sing Mother earlier in the show.

  • The best concert ever staged...pink floyd are the top; this is incredible, every album is a story! not a collections of singles...Rock is dead, today..

Thanks Pink floyd, thanks for your uncopyble music and atmosphere...

  • I agree with you...

  • Grazie, vedo che ci capiamo! vai col ROCK!!

  • Amazing Show......Amazing array of talent.
