"Fowler's goal against FC Brann" - Probably (hopefully) been pointed out before but that's not the clubname. Brann would do, or if you want more, SK Brann.
Best Pure natural finisher of his generation. Highly underrated. May not have been the complete player Alan Shearer was, hence few England chances. In my book deserved to be first choice partner to Shearer, way ahead of Ferdinand, Cole etc.
Absolutely agree! - this is Robbie's greatest goal and one of the all time top 10 greatest LFC goals. I know popular opinion has his great nutmeg (of poor ol' Stevie Staunton!) and strike against Villa as his greatest but this one tops that! Oh yea, and great "away strip" as well - much better than the gunk we wear today!
@04Redeemed with all respect to le tissier who's been 1 of the best ever in the EPL but Fowler was "something" that's extremely rare 2 find in world football, i.e, a PURE NATURAL FINISHER!
U can name any1 from the gr8's like raul to inzaghi but fowler is the gr8test finisher ever! He was so good that he can close his eyes n score - thats how gr8 of a finisher he was!!
I agree, Fowler proved how good he is in only his second full game scoring 5 against fulham in the then coca cola cup, I know le tiss was a totally different type of player having to make most of his own goals but I just meant both were absolute legends, but this is about fowler and he was way above in consistency and his range of scoring definitely, second only to Rush in my book anyway.
when it came to finishing, goal scoring, fowler was one of the greatest in the 90's. Especially when he was relaxed in his role he could bang in 5. him and wright should have been paired up for euro 96.
Fowler's a more natural finisher than Torres. Doesn't mean he's better though. Ian Wright was probably a more natural finisher than Henry but wasn't better.
I'd love 2 agree wiv ya as an LFC fan but i cant see us winning it again without a decent replacement for the imminent departure of Alonso. We need another strong midfield player like sneijder or Van Der Vaart, fingers crosses tho and Big picture Fowler = Legend!
don't forget fucking chelsea bastards ! Fuck off chelsea fc you ain't got no history 5 european cups and 18 leagues that's what we call history ! fuck man utd too
Legendairy. I was acctually at this game in Bergen, because Brann is my hometeam. I was the only Liverpool-fan amongst the lads - but we all agreed that this was a sweet goal. All the way from Ruddock to Bjørnebye to McMannaman and the finish. Marvelous :D
I wouldn't bet against him putting the ball in the net for Blackburn, of course he is past these golden years but he is no mug with a football at his feet
One of my all time favourite Liverpool goals. My favourite Fowler goal has to be the one where he leaves Staunton for dead and arrows it into the top bin against Villa.
how come i never see this goal in the all time greatest goals of history...this one's better than most of them...FOWLER==Premiership return==15+goals nxt season.
Remember seeing it live....unbelievable goal....pure genius....Fowler was on another planet for 3 seasons in the mid 90's....people forget he was only 19 or 20 at the time.
darn it i thought it was gonna be robbie blake :P
