The Dalai Lama gets all his money from the CIA (as discovered by the journalist Webster Tarpley), so it's actually American taxpayers who pay for this guy to go around speaking and for publishing, etc. (from memory it's 2-3 million $USD/annum). This is done because it shits the Chinese up the wall.

But what's more rotten is that the Lama represents and advocates for one of the most backwards, inhumane, feudal (95% poverty stricken serfs) societies that existed on the planet.
