love this ride so much the first time i rode it i was in line with my dad and i asked him if it was going to be scary and he said no its really fun. so we were next in line and we loaded the trains and i was like screaming so much and holding on to my dad the whole time! ahah i was mad at him for lying to me but then i rode it again and again and turns out that i really really like it!! i cant wait to go this summerrr!! :))))))

The rides at Disney parks are all really well done. While most rides at other parks seem like they're in the parking lot,Disney rides keep the theme up with constant visuals. Disney's rides are also designed for all ages. The problem with Disney's rides is that the lines are always way too long.

@lemonite1 actually it depends on what day your going. If you went on a saturday or sunday then the lines will probably be long cause people don't have work that day. Its better on a weekday. Oh and besides that, I LOVE DISNEYLAND!!! I personally think that its better than six flags because disneyland is for ALL ages! (Even old people lol) But six flags... WOW i mean my 23 year old cousin doesnt even like it and i can't even go on one ride lol. Well people are different. Ok i wrote alot lol :)

If you're comparing it to other thrill rides like X2 or Riddler's Revenge at Six Flags, yes. But it's Disney, and they emphasize family entertainment, hence slightly tamer rides. It's not extremely scary, but a spunky, fun little ride.

I have riden a crapload of roller coasters and have even been to Cedar Point, but Disneyland's Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is my favorite roller coaster, and my 4th favorite ride (Haunted Mansion, Indy, and POTC are 1,2, and 3 repectively). No roller coaster has come close to offering the amazing on ride theming and attention to detail than BTM does, not even WDW's Everest. I notice new details all the time on BTM.

next time you go, if you haven't found it already, look for the Hidden Mickey. Just about every ride has one and the one on BTM is especially clever.
