Well you gotta admit, they do pretty well with just Skeletor and the freaks the temp agency keep sending. I think keeping He-Man out is what helps make "Skeletor Show" what it is. There are plenty of parodies out there that star He-Man. And theyre usually just gay jokes. I like Skeletor as the protagonist. Skeletor by himself just makes things funny.

Wherever Randor's mom is. Had the original toyline continued another year they would have explained that Skeltor was originally named Keldor, and was King Randor's brother. It seems Skeleotr was what happened when Keldor tried to divest himself of evil, and the part that became Skeletor sealed Randor away in another dimension that was home of Ninjor and Scare-Glow.

But it seemed the way he was used in the mini-comic where he appeared was that he was a ghost in Skeletor's employ rather than some sort of metaphysical connection to him Just another henchman Skeletor snatched from the realm where Keldor was locked away. that's all that's been established. That and supposedly he had the power to scare people to death. Or at least people in that realm since He-Man and co handed him his ass.

In the Marvel comic Skeletor just referred to Scare-Glow as "My ghost" and made no mention of where he came from. Since Skeletor is basically a lich, there may be some sort of connection to Scare Glow, like being the same type of supernatural creature. And Skeletors fear of what He-Man could find implies his origin is tied to the same realm Scare Glow is from. Mattel intended SG to be just another henchman with and they dont get big backstories

After viewing all the episodes I guess its just supposed to show the antics of the villains, as He-Man and his posse already had a few series to call their own. And the villains are more colorful and thus greater wackiness potential. Overall the heroes are too straightforward, save for Orko, whos there because nobody ever liked him and deserves the abuse. Not that humor with He-Man cant be done, but Skeletor just seems more ripe for humor because of his outlandish henchmen
